Lol I just had an ant running up my arm.
I tried to crush it with my finger but it kept soldiering on like someone suffering from shell shock.
So I put it in my mouth and ate it..and damn it tasted good!
Exactly like cassis (blackcurrant)! I'm still fascinated.

Nothing wrong with eating ants or other insects and bugs for that matter. Although I did not try any myself I know people that have and said that garden ants can be very tasty. However like with any other food, you should probably wash them first before consuming.

Oh I'm all for entomophagy but it has to be tasty, thats all that matters.
Most insect dishes are still prepared for pure shock value, as a dare or out of general nourishment scarceness.
And they taste accordingly. (like nothing or crap)
Crickets have to be properly fried, spiced and served with sauce and bread.
They also make for a good side dish or as french fries replacement.
And dont forget that everyone who eats crabs and shrimp is basically eating marine arthropods.

Indeed it's true, especially the last sentence. It's all about psychological barriers to overcome after all, definitely not an easy step for the Western world...me included
