No, I just never got on board with the notch dick sucking contest that has existed since this game came out. Was it mildly entertaining? Sure. Was it a fairly open sandbox type game? yeah.

Dunno if this is the case, but if it is then its like hating on a disabled person. People will skin you alive if you do. I think minecraft and a disabled person show a lot of similarities (i am srs). Both are loved, both have obvious flaws, haters are worse than hitler and will burn in hell.

so 80% of the people we get that are the spastic kids, don't make it a week before getting banned, or bored of all the adults ignoring their "OMG!! WHO LOVEZ DA PONIES??" questions.
or kiddie griefers that find out protections and permissions are in place so they cant grief anything, and chests are locked to individual people and cant steal, and never come back...

Is anyone playing Tekkit? (i.e. Minecraft + Technic pack). It's pretty awesome. A bit too much too list what this collection of mods contains, but suffice it to say that it's a whole another level of Minecraft.
Maybe the best intro is to watch this: . He makes a quick rundown showing some of that stuff that is possible.
If anyone wants to join me I started playing on a.arcscraft.com . It doesn't have a whitelist so just jump in and join. And it fully supports all tekkit mods.

yeah i've been following the technic pack for a while now actually, i'm kinda PO'd at this last version of it though, technic is missing the logistics pipes mod which imo is essential, but conversely tekkit is missing powercrystals mods so i get annoyed as hell with that too, i wish they'd go back to the perfect mix they used to have and... just get rid of that shit mod millenaire entirely while they're at it too honestly, it lags like crazy if someone doesn't know how to disable it's village scanning.
i might actually join you to play that honestly, typically i don't though for the most part like to join games hosted through a service, but can i ask what mods you have enabled and do you allow item spawning mode in NEI?
also, technically off topic but, notch has been tweeting about his next game, it's sounding really cool too and he said the magic words already as well "open world" and "sandbox" i think that alone at least justifies a pre-order if it's not a lot more than MC.

ah, nevermind then, never saw the reason to host it with an actual server, 20mbps down, 10mbps up, 20GB of ram, my internet is nothing spectacular i know, but i can comfortably host for 15 people without much if really any lag, sides i prefer to hand pick the players i join up with.
you got terraria by the way? i've been working on actually "completing the game" by redigit's supposed requirement of clearing all the hardmode corruption and beating all bosses, i'm working on farming hellstone currently until i've got at least one full set of stuff and possibly a night's edge but i'm delaying entering hardmode.
Tekkit is pretty awesome, I must say. It is definitely breathing some fresh air into an otherwise stale game. I'll definitely be re configuring my, as of now, non-running server to incorporate this into it. If anyone wants in, I'll definitely be running a free-running server, just PM me for whitelisting/OP'ing. Just bear in mind that I am in the US so if you are in the EU, you might lag a bit, as I've only got a 7mbps upstream connection even though it's 58mbps down.

On another topic: Some fucker griefed my tower I built last night on Arckit server. Just logged into refuel some machines and saw it. Not sure how he managed to get inside but there's fucking lava and water and stone everywhere. Goddamn kids.
