Quote:
A new kind of adventure where the choice of how to survive is up to you. Sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in your path.
Eat and sleep well, or resort to drugs to keep going. Search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. Look after your mental health, or descend into madness...

So this just came out today, and it's pretty great. Demo is above and the full game is only $10. If you'd rather someone who knows how to write well tell you about the game, here is Rock, Paper, Shotgun's review on it: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/03/27/wot-i-think-lone-survivor/

My god... that demo was 2D Silent Hill with a lot of Mindf***. Very creepy and atmospheric.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Yeah, definitely. It's like an open-world, 2D, Silent Hill... even the music is great.

Just a quick question. Will you be able to obtain more weapons in the game? I mean more than the handgun

games like this i prefer to play in windowed mode, how can i go about doing that? the massive resolution compared to the little pixels isn't really ideal. makes some of the text kindof hard to read etc.

Well, there's RPS's review in the first post, and they (or atleast Adam) loved the game. I haven't played much of it myself yet (mostly cause I'm too much of a coward to play horror games much Razz), but I certainly like what I have played.

I've only been playing for a short while but honestly; think Silent Hill .. in 2D.. and that's pretty much spot on.

Alright let me repeat my question from before. Is there more weapons to be found than the handgun? Any other firearms? Any melee weapons?

liking this one a bit, except for one thing, i haven't really figured out how to know which door you'll be going through if there's two directly across from each other above and below on the map.

Just finished the game and have to say I'm disappointed. Up to where the demo ends a bit further and the game is great but it quickly goes downhill after that. The story is odd and it's not explained even in the end and it left me with A LOT of questions. Also the game is short and I finished it at 2:30 hours, after the apartment you pretty much just got 30 minutes left until the end.

I would not recommend people to shell out money for the full version.

Got the Blue ending btw

Also I was blocked from posting anything else on their launch trailer video on youtube after complaining about the huge dependency on combat as soon as you get a gun. These guys certainly seems sketchy, wish I could get my 10$ back

2.5 hours sounds hard to believe when RPS took 8 on their first playthrough and 4 on the second. It's kinda your own fault the game doesn't last long if you rush through it.

Ehm I didn't rush it at all. As far as the map go I visited every single location. Sure I guess you could go back to every single room you already been and search them again but that hardly sounds like fun to me.

true enough, any game with that much of it's data files contained in a shockwave flash object filetype is suspect and for good reason.

also, is it just me or gamma and aspect ratio adjustments do jack shit?

It's just you Very Happy Works fine here, it's an incremental process; you have to keep pressing to adjust in steps.
