According to the platform holder, Xbox Live users spend an average of 84 hours a month using Xbox Live services, up 30 percent from a year ago, and just over half of that time is spent watching videos and listening to music.
Otto Berkes, a senior vice president of consumer technology at HBO who previously helped launch the Xbox at Microsoft, said the "original vision" for the console "was for it to be the heart of connected digital entertainment and it has been amazing to watch the arc".
Isnt that the point of the way that main stream gaming has gone , where the game is designed so that the gamer has to think the least amount possible.
Video is just the follow on from that in which they now don't have to do anything.
Not surprising that this is the fruits of publishers labor over the last 8 - 10 years.
