I like it. If you like burnout etc you should get into it. The GFX are ok , some nice lighting. The cars feel weighty, I have some issues performing a clean drift but ive only played for 20min. Downloaded a lot worse than this before

yep, dissappointed with this. It's nothing like ridge racer series and not as fun as Burnout and then you have abit of split second. i Suppose you could get used to it...not a triple A though

I thought the game was nice but I prefer Split Second... The thing that this Ridge Racer lacks I think is a story. There is no cutscenes, no voices, no nothing... Just races one after another, these days it feels really cheap.

Played it , I don't like it too..looks and plays average , no thrills , crashes are boring..shame..
Split / Second is much better than this , much more fun !

it's not , just confirming what cyclonefr said..and it's the last arcade racer that I truly enjoyed..

basically the game doesn't know what it wants to be, but the be all and end all is that they messed with the drift mechanics of what is titled a ridge racer game and ruined it with stupid amounts of oversteer

Yeah, it's not just about what's been said in this thread, I've been hearing this a lot in other forums/gaming sites/podcasts @ the time S/S launched and never understood why people were talking so highly of it; in terms of gameplay S/S was boring and repetitive.
And in regards to Unbounded (!), I can say the same things but with a lot more cons that S/S. This product is worse than S/S, that much is true, but that's not saying much for S/S either. The only pro I see in Unbounded is the 1.8 GB size, and that's for a JTAG/RGH user (not sure how much this game takes up installed from disc).
Yeah, I agree with mcmanic, the is confusing the player by not being clear on what it wants to be (Burnout/RidgeRacer/Flatout/SplitSecond).
It's shame this game turned out this way, with the BugBear Studios pedigree I was expecting a lot more. You'd think the destruction from Flatout and the gameplay from Burnout would make an awesome game but somehow BugBear managed to fuck it up with this one and, apparently, ruin what RR was at the same time.
