Wouldn't be surprised to see one of those leaked. But I think, with "smaller" games like this, that if it's leaked and it's a quality game, that people will buy it.
I buy my games like a restaurant - get the product first then pay if I'm satisfied. If I find nasty bugs in it or it's just completely heinous and unplayable/uneatable, I just don't pay.

The news thread has been deleted, so I guess they've been premature with their announcement. But seems safe to say it will be available on GOG. Deffo buying it there.

The game launches on April 11th, and you can preorder it now for just $12 (or equivalent) at GOG.com:
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/legend_of_grimrock
The preorder price is discounted 20% from the final price, so once it launches, it'll go up to $15. Needless to say, I preordered the minute it went up. Since this is GOG, you of course get the game DRM-free, as well as a bundle of goodies: some wallpapers, a map and manual, an artwork collection, and a music track.
The game will also be available on Steam, but the Steam page isn't up yet. If you want, you can preorder directly from Almost Human, and they'll provide you with a Steam key as well (this way, more money goes straight to the developers, and you still get a Steam copy). They also offer the same "goodies" pack. Link:

And now for some new footage of the game:

Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.

GOG seems to be an indie launch platform now, too. See Darwinia, Machinarium, Space Chem, Trine and The Whispered World?!

Preordered on GOG. 12$ is a steal even if the game turns out to be mediocre, and DRM-free is always a plus.

Imho it's better to order it directly from the authors: http://www.grimrock.net/buy/
You get Steam key (so achievements if anyone cares) plus:
- A beautifully crafted game manual
- Legend of Grimrock world map
- Custom made grid paper to print out for all your mapping needs
- Grimrock theme music
- Wallpapers
- Art sheets illustrating foul creatures of Mount Grimrock
- Team photo

You get the same stuff if you buy it from GOG, and are not forced to run it through steam.

I'm getting it direct. I get the benefit of a Steam key *and* the authors get 100% of the money. Win/Win!

Done exactly just that now. £7.75 spent, what an excellent price and 100% going to them is even better.

I just fail to see how a Steam key is a benefit over a standalone installer w/o any kind of DRM.

Sure, if you have the key and haven't redeemed it - anyone can use it. Buying from AlmostHuman *only* gets you the Steam key though, you don't get a DRM-free copy as well.
