to be fair, you regenerate health after every battle in ninja gaiden (sigma?) 2 as well, just not always all of it.
still it's not that different.
this would allow them to balance the difficulty of each and every battle to a fully healed player which could even make it more challenging.
of course that's just how it could be, I didn't actually play it yet so I dunno how it is in reality.

oh cmon..wtf is happening to IGN ? I mean srsly.. ?
Game is definitely not good as previous ones , but it's not 3.0 game..
Metro GameCentral = 8.0
Official XBOX Magazine = 8.0
Gamereactor Sweden = 7.0

Well, scores aside, that Gamereactor review reads similar like IGN one:
Quote: | You take what I am getting. The enemy slain simple, you'll never have to think, adventure elements are removed, Quick Time Events succeed trickier sequences as well as menus are greatly simplified so that the game's vanilla version can not even switch weapons. Ninja Gaiden has been casual, and it gnaws at me, while I find it more reminiscent of Ninja Blade than the challenging demanding their predecessors. |
All the reviews so far seem to agree on the game's problems. It's just that for some reviewer said problems aren't game-breaking, so they gave the game 7/10 or 8/10.
It's the worst game in the series, but i doubt this is surprising for someone...

3.0 sounds to me like some completely broken unplayable mess.
ninja gaiden 3 and downpour are probably not great but they're playable and can definitely be fun depending on your tolerance for certain issues.
from what I've seen they deserve 6/10 at least for I have seen many games that are much worse score much better on ign.
they're just so inconsistent... some reviewer stands up with the wrong foot and some game gets a score like it's the worst piece of shit ever and all copies should be buried in the desert like E.T. or something

Good enough to pass time with.
But shitty successor of the previous games.
Everything good from the game was removed.
Is this even made by the same people as the ones who made the previous 2.
