That's a tough one, not a particularly popular setting for games in general, let alone rpg's (sad as it is).
Darklands is a classic, if you can get past the graphics it's just what you're after: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darklands_%28video_game%29

Technically not low-fantasy, but still feels like one: Gothic 1. The rest of the series less so, but the downplayed magic and rare orcs make this feel like low fantasy.

well, mount&blade is really no-fantasy
just in a fictional country and characters
i'm really allergic to everything fantasy so i was really surprised that i managed to like skyrim as much as i did
you play dark messiah of might & magic?
linear action rpg - not openworld or with guests
mount&blade-like combat mechanics
levels very thief-like with multiple paths and approaches

The First Templar , which was recently released. Set in 14th century. It's an action-adventure video game with character development (aka RPG elements).
There was also a similar game released (relatively) at the same time as The First Templar, but I can't recall what it was called.

Darklands is great, though the combat UI gets annoying quickly. Gothic 1, as someone mentioned, really has the feel of low-fantasy, even though it's not really that. Same with Betrayal at Krondor. There are a few more out there, but yeah, generally it's all just the same shitty generic high-fantasy stuff.

+1. Darklands was really awesome.
But yeah, it's hard to find low-fantasy :/

Yes games that have a feel like gothic are what I'm looking for but I've already played the series
Thank you everyone for your suggestions |
Good luck with that. I'm still waiting for a game that is on par with G1+2.

What about The Witcher games, the cities aren't colourful, lots of mud and the magic isn't that crazy.

Actually, it WAS a (very) good game... for its first half (Barcellona had some truly good quests, not to mention faction conflicts and people racism if you were playing as a beast race) - too bad it became a hack'n'slash after that, and a shitty one as well.
This. If only it had more variety in quests it'd be my most favorite RPG ever - complexity-wise it's still pretty much unmatched. Killing the executioner seconds before it could land the mortal blow to my party leader, then running through the city streets while avoiding the guards and trying to find a suitable spot to climb the walls - god, those where good times...

And what, exactly, would Darklands be missing, my good sir?

I would love a modern day version of that, so few games impress me anymore, even Skyrim is tedious after a while.
