Anyone who claims the prothean DLC was not part of the initial release, must be delusional. The prothean is as integral to the main game as any other companion.
I hope that quote was out of context since it sounds very arrogant. "Finally the puny consumers come to their senses!". What a dipshit.

What lore are these people talking about? The Prothean dude is completely CLUELESS. He provides almost no insight into any of the ME events - just some random jokes about the younger races, some comments about your old squadmates and a useless assault rifle.
The only tidbit that is somewhat interesting is
Spoiler: | that Protheans enslaved other races |
So yeah, they took something out but they made sure that this "something" is really vague and can be seamlessly removed - just like the Exiled Prince in DA2.

Take him on the Thessia mission and tell me he doesn't bring much to the lore.

The game is unfinished, rushed, and it seems like who ever wrote the first two games, left bioware?
The story is lazily written, and I mean very lazy writing. The lack of lore, content in conversation is disgusting. And it's fine, you generally only have two choices to select from a conversation that takes 10-15 minuets. And when they do give you a "third option" its backstory from the previous game
And I feel like all those alliances I formed over the past two games mean nothing, worthless, absolutely nothing. This game was rushed, and ruined.
I just hope the source gets leaked someway or somehow, this piece of shit trilogy needs some major fixing. Has potential too.
This game gets a 3/10, fuck.
PC Specs: A Maganavox' Odyssey
Tweaked to play Frogger, Lemmings & GTA4

Finally finished playing ME1 and ME2. So there is still no proper crack out there for the DLC? I've seen an unlocker for N7 armour and weapons though. But what about the robo dog and the squad member outfits?
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Just the ones not paid enough. All the articles about the day-one DLC "outrage" and the ending - it's a show of force by journalists that want to get paid higher.

Squad member outfits are unlocked via the coalesced stuff on one of the previous pages, the same one that unlocks the weapons and N7 Warfare gear -- there's currently no unlock for the robot dog.

Courtesy of Demde:
There's also this, which makes it so you aren't required to play multiplayer to get a higher Effective Military Strength, however I don't know if it contains the FOV & DLC:

As always, back up your original file/saves beforehand.
Replace yours located in (...\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole\) with this one to :
Double the military strength of your war assets. This is effectively the same thing as setting your Galactic Readiness level to 100%, allowing you to get full use of the assets you find without having to worry about MP. It's not cheating, it's how the game should have implemented the feature in the first place. MP should NOT dictate single player outcomes, in any game, EVER, especially RPGs. (Note: you must start a new game for these changes to take effect, did not work on my previous quicksave). Hopefully Bendi's multiplication skills are up to par!
Hit F12 to give yourself the CE weapons. You only have to do this once per character, then save your game. (confirmed working)
Thank you both for all the work - all credit goes to you guys, I just merged the edits into one file.

Is this the one? Also what is this galactic thing about? I am 45 minutes into the game. Should I restart it again?

The first version by Demde unlocks all currently available DLC except for the robot dog.
The second version by Immunity doubles your war assets received through missions. However apparently it doesn't contain the DLC armor or FOV fix.
The "galactic thing" is basically an in game score which affects the ending you get. Bioware, in their infinite wisdom, decided that it's impossible to get certain endings (some consider them to be the "best" endings) unless you have a high enough score (above 4000 Effective Military Strength) which is only conventionally obtainable if you play mulitplayer.
You could just use Demde's version and this alternate Effective Military Strength fix:
Blue Matt wrote: | To get 100% Readiness:
1. Grab local_profile.sav from
Code: | http://www.wupload.com/file/2673818342/Local_Profile.sav |
2. Copy it to My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\Saves (this will overwrite in-game settings)
3. Disconnect from the internet (this isnt a suggestion, this is required or it wont work)
4. Play
(The first few of you who do this can also play Multiplayer ) |
With this method you won't need to restart your game, you just need to remap some keys if you've changed them from default.
