Honestly Horror, I get the attachment to a beloved machine (my Xbox-v1.6 is alive and kicking today, as is at least one of my three Dreamcasts) but really, the Xenon is ... well, is should be replaced for something that is a little bit more sturdy. Imagine how gutting it would be to finally glitch your Xenon, start installing some epic DLC/XBLA stuff...... and then BAM! RRoD/E74. Joy of joys, eh?

Hey guys, I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to "traditional" hacking methods since I got my RGH glitched.
Say I buy a 250gb Slim and a wasabi360, would that be all I need to run games directly from the included 250gb HDD? Is wasabi able to extract the drive key automatically, or would I have to do it myself with soldering iron & all that shit? And do I need special tools to copy games from the pc to the hard disk? I'm aiming for maximum convenience/simplicity here, it's a present for a very lazy person

It's like it has always been: Jtag/RGH can do more things (play pirated XBLA games, emulators, homebrews, play without a disc, etc). Flashed only ndiffers from a normal xbox in that it let's you play burned discs. On the other hand: it's live-safe.
As for "easier", I'd say Jtag/RGH: no need to update drive firmware, no need to burn the discs with all the right tools/verification data, no need to have your HD/usb key formatted by the xbox to be able to install games on it.

I am also thinking about future of those type of things. I want my 360 to be kicking even in 20 years, If I will want to replay some games etc.
Thats why I am using verbatim discs and take care of them + dusting off my jasper elite with every flashing. Jaspers are sturdy so it should be ok in some years
It is always nostalgics feeling going back to old consoles. I wil need to buy one controller and leave it unpacked.
i am traditionalist. I dont feel like I need a jtag. I like my hardware to be as vanilla as it can (except android phone).
Verbatims are cheap and I don't play xbl, becouse I am a singpleplayer type.

So wait there's no "flashing" involved with jtag? I mean if new dashboard comes out won't it be the same as with flashed ones? where you need to reflash it?
@besthijacker well I just sold my 2011-09 slim :d cos I couldn't flash ir nor jtag lol. Buying games is kinda expensive lol

read this..get FSD, xexmenu, ISO2GOD ..makes those folders like you see in that thread
xexmenu is a waste of time now you can put a freestyle dash live installer on a memory card and install that and dashlaunch from nxe, dont forget fsd has a file browser too.

There's a plugin for Dashlaunch that runs and FTP server on the xbox, through which you can transfer data directly to the internal hdd thourgh LAN/WiFi.
Guys one last question lol, I called the guy that glitches console. And the one I've ordered will be with a txcoolrunner instead of matrix glitcher. So the question - which one is better?
... and even then, we're talking about a few seconds at best. Nothing like the original methods that were hit and miss, taking up to a couple of minutes to get a full boot
