Don't be sad deelix. nobody ever agrees with me. Becouse I have my own opinion and gets excited about things I like Sad

Razz

Ninja Gaiden 2 - Ive almost finished it with my friend. We had to play this hotseat like, becouse one person couldnt play too much at a time without killing each other Very Happy It was very rewarding tho.
We did bad things to the game disc after not being able to kill second form of finall boss tho Very Happy

Well, it had all the elements that would constitute to a brutal hack-en-slash game, minus the story. So even though it may not be "awesome", it was definitely a kick-ass title.

The review from Issue 134(April) of Official Xbox Magazine

Review Score 8.0 out of 10.

Some points made out in the review

- QTE’s can be turned off in the options menu, but are frequent throughout the game, from a slow- motion knee slide to slicing through enemies to using the Kunai climb.

- Playing as Ryu makes you feel like a super hero as he is nearly unstoppable, meaning you won’t die as nearly as much as in previous games.

- Five difficulty levels: Hero, Normal, Hard, Master Ninja and Ultimate Ninja.

- Gone is every primary weapon save for Ryu’s single sword (You still have shurikens).

- No yellow essence currency from killing enemies or opening chests.

- You are stuck with a non-upgradable sword and Ryu’s health regenerates after each battle, so health restoring items have been excised.

- Ninpo has become a use it or lose it perk that powers up during each encounter.

- Limb removal is gone.

- Campaign is split into eight days and the story runs circles around the other games.

- Bosses are nowhere near as memorable or numerous as you’d expect from a Ninja Gaiden game.

- Only one cameo from a Dead or Alive character, Ayane.

- You can lower the difficulty at any point in the game.

- Ninja Cinema returns.

“All of this reads like the evisceration of a horrible game, that’s definitely not the case. It’s a matter of context. Compared to its predecessors, Ninja Gaiden 3 is a noticeable step back due largely to all the gameplay decisions that are taken out of your hands. Stacked up against its contemporaries, however, it still stands among the finest fast action experiences on Xbox (Bayonetta excepted). The time spent with Ryu both behind and without his mask is riveting.”

But seriously - from what i have read from different sources, they have dumbed down the game in every possible way.

Well I have the ISO already so I'll just run that through ISO2GOD. The GOD pack with Full ISO rip should be about the same size.

Well, I like the game so far. It seems easier on normal difficulty level than previous two (but I have beaten both, so perhaps I'm used to ninja gaiden difficulty), but still I managed to die a few times already. I'm not sure that I like regenerating health and ninpo - it makes the game easier (if not the combat). The enemies in the first 10 minutes are super easy, and that includes first boss - the first game was tough from the very beginning. It gets more challenging later. No dismembering, but still A LOT of blood and visceral combat. But still it's Ninja Gaiden. I almost lost hope to see the 3rd game already.
