It feels almost as if 30 minutes of dialogue answering all the questions you may have are missing from the ending. I predict a DLC retconning what we got on the horizon.
in the arrival dlc, destroying a mass relay means destroying the system that relay is in. in me3 destroying the relay means....nothing, just a "boom".
all your team mate are fighting on earth and the normandy in helping against the reaper...so how the hell is possible that in the end the normandy is flying in a mass relay (because you can't explain the normandy's end otherwise) with everybody on board?
in case of the "red" ending, how can yshepard be alive, ON earth, after the citadel is detroyed?
meh.

I concur with KillerCrocker. What's wrong with the endings? How did all of you imagine this will end? By simply wiping all Reapers with a giant laser and then everybody is having a party at the beach and living happily ever after?
Don't get me wrong, there are many plot holes and minor logic failures, but I was expecting A LOT worse endings. So giving the circumstances, these endings are simply OK for an entire-universe-involved trilogy like this.
Stupid and lazy writing all the way. The main problem was script leak and rushed rework of whole plot. And personally - for the game with 16 endings I would expect one "yaay we won"
F You dear sir. I can't like it? Who will forbid me? Maybe You?
I really think its good ending. Way better than simple "yaay we won". It feels complete and refreshing. And sad in a ... good way?
the problem people have with the ending is how its a BiowarEA moneysaving '1 ending suits all' thing. it gives no closure to the various plotlines nor does it give any indication of all the choices you have made in the previous games, or this game for that matter.
spoilers regarding my playthrough and ending:
Spoiler:
after playing a mix of renegade and paragon through all the games, and getting pretty much everything perfect (geth/quarian peace, genophage cured but salarians still helping out, batarian navy coming to help, all the old squad members who dont die in me3 helping out, upgrades to normandy, 99% of scanning done, way above the 'required' 5k readiness etc) i am still treated with the same cutscenes and dialogues that play if i had just fucked everything up, scanned a bit and done some multiplayer.
i dont mind talking to a diabolus ex machina, i dont mind dying (or dying with a 5 sec scene showing some hope that i am still alive in the ending i chose), i dont mind not winning the war and everyone dying. i just want to see what i did in the game matter.
if it has to be a downer ending, i want small cutscenes of my friends and allies getting killed or being wiped out. if it can be a 'bittersweet' ending with shepard sacrificing himself for everyone, i wanna know what happens to my friends and allies. i want to know what happens to the person who i romanced.
hell, i dont even need cutscenes. some pictures with superimposed text saying what happens to the various factions and characters would have been great as well. like dragon age 1 did it.

nope, no multiplayer (didnt buy the game). just used the modified coalesced file - i was going for a perfect, best possible ending and had read that you need a score of 5k+ for that.
but i think you misunderstood me, what im saying is that all that my hard work got me is more points on the readiness scale. you could fuck everything up, do some multiplayer and still have the same end result.
There are either some big plot holes or ending is more cryptic than it seems on the surface, anyway.. yes. it could have been worse

Just beat the game. After all the credits were over, I was returned to the galaxy map before the mission with Cerberus. How do I start a New Game+ now since I don't see such an option in the menu?
Anyone knows if the endings are any different if you chose to not destroy the reaper base in ME2 ? I finished it after 40 hours, paragon + reaper base destroyed, and i don't feel like starting a new renegade game.
Also, is it possible to store heavy weapons ? I found some in the game but cannot carry them to Normandy.
I dont understand this development lately.
First Skyrim with huge problems and poorly optimization, broken quests and other shit.
Then next big title ME3 also in some way destroyed because of stupid choices in development.
Like journal is total mess and now ending suck?? WTF ... is going on? I really starting to think that Maybe its time to quit playing! Why we should pay money for broken piles of crap like that!!!
I playing now ME1 because i want to get trough the whole trilogy.
But this game is crap too if you think from the technical view.
For example when i move o run picture is jumping up and down like fps drop difficult to explain.
Then during conversations npc,s head its like out of sync i dont know how to explain this but is weird and of course sound is total mess.
And companies wonder why people pirate their games????
Stupids idiots.

How about that sphere of light rendering the reapers inert?

The endings just have way too many plot holes. They also based the outcome of the endings on your readiness rating instead of your choices throughout the series. Also imitating the ending to DXHR does not fit mass effect universe in my opinion. Whatever, I am not mad at them, I wasn't too big fan of Mass Effect, but if I was I'd probably be pissed at BioWare.
They screwed up the ending just as they did in Dragon Age 2. Dragon Age Origins at least had somewhat solid ending, where they told you how other side story events unfold and what happened to various characters in game. It was much better that way, although story itself was also a bit cliche.
Which of the following two HAS to be above 5000 - Total Military Strength or Effective Military Strength - in order to prevent Shepard from dying in the end?

EMS.
I can easily mark TMS above 5000, but EMS seems almost impossible. Is this another situation where you have to play the sodding multiplayer in order to raise that statistic?

Are you suppose to be able to talk to Garrus in the docking area after every mission or only that one time when you first meet him there? Asking cause he shows up on my map, but I can't interact with him

It's the only situation where you need to play multiplayer.
However, there's not that much of a change in endings if you do reach 4000 or 5000, at least in my case.

That's the only situation in which the MP part needs to be played so that you get a better outcome in SP.

From what I've understood, only galactic readiness depends on playing the multiplayer, the other two ratings are solely leaning on your doings in SP.
