There's really no other way to put this, they pulled another DA2 with this. It has exactly the same main problem as DA2. It feels really fucking cheap and lazy. They put no effort into this game, let alone some soul like developers used to in the past. There's not much I can say that I haven't said before or haven't been said by others. The game is amazingly bad, but I don't really hate, just like I don't hate DA2. I do however hate BioWhore with an even bigger passion with each game they pull out of their arses. Compared to DA2 I even want to not dislike this game, I want to get a decent ending to this series, but BioWhore doesn't want that it seems. How low the mighty have fallen...
Here's another thing I want to say about the game. I actually love the combat, it's really not that boring anymore and you can't really stay in the same cover the whole battle because you'll die very easily. The combat has become the enjoyable part of the game actually, since the writing is absolutely horrible, the plot of the game is stupid and full of holes. I enjoy the combat until some enemy kills me from nowhere with an overpowered grenade (because they can spam them like they're shitting them on the fly) or while I'm in cover and cloaked or in some other stupid way like that. Enemies can often see through my cloak which is really fucking stupid since as an infiltrator I have to base myself on that skill a lot. What the fuck?! Is this they're idea of fixing the combat? Make the enemies overpowered and let them cheat? I'm really trying to get through this game, but it constantly annoys the hell out of me by shoving its problems in my face. I almost hear the game saying "Look how bad I am! Fuck yeah!!!".
I really can't believe they actually want money for this.
Can I make Ashley, Pigface, Miranda dissapear? Maybe there are others that will be just as annoying, we'll see... at the moment I'm interested in those. Characters in general tend to be very unlikable in this game. Also, can I let the Reapers destroy the Earth or do some other thing like that? I want humans to suffer in this game, I don't want to save them.

I wouldn't go quite that far, Dragon Age 2 was much worse than this game but both suffer from various cuts and constraints, Bioware could probably do good work if given the chance but these ~1 to 2 year development cycles can't be that healthy for longer and more involving RPG games like they started out making under Black Isle or how it was, of course there's likely other concerns as well but I imagine the time and budget situation isn't very flexible.
(Which unfortunately isn't anything new these days.)
Well I like it. It's nothing groundbreaking, just your regular sequel. Some aspects are improved, some aspects are gone. Seriously, did you guys expect a revolutionary change of the current "do not fix, simply remove" Bioware philosphy? The story is as bombastic as ever, in true Bioware style, the action is a bit better, the RPG aspects are as good or bad as you want them to be (too lite if you expect this series to be an RPG) and the dialogue is of Bioware quality (when did they ever have brilliant writing?). As it was always the case with Bioware, they shine in presentation. It is all presented in a relatively believeable way and it keeps you playing.
I'd rate ME1 8 and both ME2 and ME3 7.5 (though I haven't finished ME3 yet).

This! Couldn't have said it better myself. EA is just hungry for money, they want short development cycles and games released way too often. And that puts strain on the dev. They need to take corners and make cuts and in the end the game suffers.
i just noticed a deja vu from DA2.. you find random stuff during your missions and suddenly know you need to give them to someone. unlike DA2, you don't get directions to that specific person, but it's still the same bullshit. and then you get war assets for that.. sure..
How are two years too short if they already have all the assets in place? The engine is there, the gameworld is there, everything is already present. Did developing sequels take ten years in the past? I highly doubt DA2 for example would've been awesome if they had five more years to work on. That game had design problems (mainly laziness), not time problems.
The already existing assets helped a lot (In contrast to Dragon Age 2 again), weapons and armor nearly all make a return from Mass Effect 2 with some few (non-DLC) new entries and in return there's improvements elsewhere like how some of the levels are not just corridors any longer or the more varied environments.
(I could probably find more but this works as a example.)

Love the fact that they reduced the amount of squad mates... to "focus" on plot.
The game seems like they just plain cut off a majority of it, and just did a half ass job. They probably stopped working on it around October and just said the game needed more development cycle, so they could focus on DLC these past months.
I was watching Binary Domain gameplay videos on Youtube and I couldn't believe how boring, sterile, pathetic and shitty ME3 looks compared to this little game by an unknown Japanese Yakuza Studio. That game has better animations, combat, upgrades, skills, even some funny tongue-in-cheek dialogue in it, but it gets no attention or respect. And then here's this supposedly legendary developer Bioware working with "great" EA and their game looks and plays like utter crap, but at the same time is getting one amazing 10/10 review after another from every major review site out there, while regular people including myself post solid proof with screenshots on forums how the game actually looks like. So we all know the truth, right? Don't you feel then that something has gone horribly wrong here?
It's obvious now that Mass Effect series takes itself way too seriously, creating trademark "emotional" Bioware moments with that stupid little kid getting killed, but yet somehow end up looking so forced, fake and out of place instead. Are we supposed to feel sad for that boy? Why was that necessary? It feels like all these moments were created by aliens who have no idea what empathy or compassion mean.
Mass Effect 1 wasn't a perfect game, but at least you could feel it was made with love and passion, it actually had some soul in it. They had to deliver a solid product hoping for a sequel. The same shit happened with Matrix movies. But they all get rich, fat and lazy.
So now we got shit like DA2 and ME3 to deal with. Maybe it's time to create something new again and maybe start with stop supporting BS?

Rocksteady did Arkham City in two years. Sure, it's no RPG, but the story is way better than ME2 or DA2, and it is technically superior in every possible way. Sure, Rocksteady has an almost infinite amount of lore to leech from, but it's not like the characters in this game are that new or unique. Most are the same ones already introduced and fleshed out in the previous games.
whats the connection between a dev cycle of 2 years and a good story? none. a good story can be written in a month. oh and Arkham City was scripted by a veteran comic book author.
you can't compare the two. iNatan wtf?

Funny btw that the costumes of your squadmates give different bonusses. Like 25% more weapon dmg or 25% more shields. Was this in all the Mass effects? I didn't know untill I pushed info on the squad selection screen.
got a question about the citadel quest with the hanar diplomat:
Spoiler:
i used the terminal next to the office suites and now i have no idea what to do. where am i supposed to go? the new journal is the biggest piece of shit ever.. doesn't give any relevant info at all.

The fuck you talking about? Read JB's post which I commented on. Veteran comic book writer is no excuse. If BioWare is incompetent to write a good story themselves, they should outsource their writing to some external science fiction writers. As for technical supremacy, did the veteran writer also write the engine to look good and perform so well?
yeah, i've found the second terminal now... and guess what? i can't activate it. it's shown on the map, but it's not highlighted. guess the quest is broken now. FUCK YOU BIOWARE!!!
just look at this bullshit. the DOOR is getting highlighted. you can't even get to that door.

a month ? like hell it can. i contest that statement and call it wrong as can be.

Spoiler:
Maybe you are required to activate them in order...I did that quest along with other I had on citadel at that time. Didn't have any problem with that quest (except that I had arrow pointing me toward the first terminal all the time, no matter where I was on the citadel, it was annoying )
if i have a legit key, can i still use RLD's release to play multiplayer?
Maybe, but if you can - it's only if you replace RLD's .EXE with the official one. Their crack won't let you sign into EA/Origin, it errors out with "This is an invalid Cerberus Key" and gets stuck in a loop.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
