EDIT: After you pass 40yrs. You will NEED reading glasses. That is a fact.

My grandfather is 74 and has perfect eye sight.

You misunderstood me.

People who have had LASIK done on their eyes will need 100% reading glasses after 40

It would be pretty pointless to get it done the day before your 40th birthday then Very Happy

I doubt that includes Ultralase & Wavefront as well. If you've been to one of the appointments you'd know the price they advertise is not the price you'll pay, unless you don't give a shit about your eyes

Pretty good. Was able to watch tv from the couch without needed glasses. That's huge imporvement already buhahahha...
I feel no pain and so far my eyes are really NOT that dry as everyone says so.

Maybe because I am still on antibiotic drops for until next week.

Going for a post-op Today and next week.

Money well spent.

My girlfriend has just had LASIK surgery (one week ago).
The whole process without inspection lasted 20 minutes for both eyes. Now she has 100% vision and she is ultra happy. It is little annoying for me, couse she is reading all the signs when we are going somewhere Smile
For the whole process we had € 1,400 costs with warranty if eye sight gets worse .

God, it has been two years and everything is still so far so good. Alto, I can't look at the monitor for extended periods of time and bought myself "gaming" glasses from Gunnar. Yea yea, laugh all you want but they work

And I get dry eyes every few days but nothing that can't be fixed with an eye drops.

Lasik should be mandatory and free for everyone imo!

I know that feel, and it's even worse for me.. nearly -6. I wear contacts every day without problems, but it still is an annoyance that I would love to eliminate from my life. Too bad that the price for such operation is still so ridiculously high that I can't even consider it at the moment. Razz

i thought about it myself from time to time but dont like the idea. in my teens when my eye sight started going bad, some ppl at school told be try using eye exercises so i happened to try it before i went to bed and when i went home for vacation ( i was in boarding school, army managed) and had my eye sight checked. it was a whole point less. from -2.5 to -1.5 after that i got lazy and it came back to that and never could come around to it again. my sight is still at -2.5. im 38 now. i dont need glasses at work just for teh computer some times and driving ofcourse.
