I noticed that the Reloaded version is 13 gb and the earlier uncracked release (Mass Effect 3 N7 Delux Edition, supposedly with DLC included) is 10 gb. Does the Reloaded just have more languages or what?

(I do hope I don't get banned for so many consecutive replies. Razz )

I believe it includes the DLC, but it's also got more languages - either multi 6 or multi 7.

Is there a recap movie somewhere that explains what happened in ME1 and ME2? Maybe some kind of synopsis so I won't go WTF when I play ME3?

you should really play 1 & 2 first.

Oh and by the way, if you want to get the proper story... you have to read the comics and the novels. No, really, this shit is downright essential because otherwise half of ME3 won't even make any sense.

Novels:

ME: Revelation (prequel to ME1, background on characters)
ME: Retribution (this one is required reading, it bridges the gap between ME2 and 3)

Comics:

ME: Redemption (explains back story to ME2 as well as other characters)
ME: Evolution (about Cerberus and TIM)
ME: Invasion (Aria T'loak vs TIM)
ME: Incursion, Conviction and Inquisition (yet more ME3 bridging and question answering that was, surprise!, skipped out on in the game itself)

Needs a \ at the end

Tried that as well and still nothing. I see on the bioware forums people with the same issue so I'll just wait for a fix or something. Thanks though.

That's weird. Didn't work for me, then I added the last backslash and it did. Ah well... Sorry man. Sad

Theres also a recap of ME1 by Bioware, narrated by Martin Sheen, that is only a few minutes long. Titled "The story so far" IIRC.
And theres the comic that they included in PS3 ME2, that recaps ME1 in quite some detail Smile You can find it on youtube.

if i do the hexediting, the game stays on the "checking for dlc" screen forever

edit: Guy_Incognito points in the right direction, works as intended now

Importing an old savegame works too, only letdown is that i have to redo the apperance

Make sure you have actually overwritten existing bytes, not inserted new eight bytes at that offset.

For those using hex editors and getting errors, did you change it so it lists 8 bytes per line, then find the offset? Not sure if that changes anything at all, but try it that way. Smile

Guys, one question:
I haven't played the last three DLCs for Mass Effect 2 (Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker & Arrival). Should I?

Will I be missing out that much? Or is not worth, in my case, the re-downloading of the game and the DLCs? Should I just bypass them and go straight forward to ME3?
