I assumed it was something to do with logging in. Tbh, I can't tell either way - When I sign out/sign in there's no captcha, and when I run BF3 (the only Origin game I have installed) there's no captcha either.

I checked for the DLC folder and I have it, used the Reloaded crack and got the DLC error, however I am still able to play.

Despite putting the ME 2 save directory into the ME3 config I still cannot import a single character. Any ideas? I just get a blank list when I go to import ME2 char.

DLC's need a unlocker like mass effect 2 had. This time the unlocker needs to focus on this file.

ME2 saves should be in this location;

C:\Users\COMPNAME\"Documents"\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save\"Character_save#_class_ID"

ie;

C:\Users\Portal\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save\Jane_33_Engineer_190212\Save_0049.pcsav

Once there, simply load ME3 and select New Game. You'll immediately be given the choice of Default, Customised, Import ME2.

Put the folder in the ME2 save folder, and make sure your character's folder is named something like "Andrea_22_Vanguard_220110". That fixed it for me.

Edit: Just noticed Sabin had already said this. Oh well.

Thanks Sabin, that didn't make any difference for me but at least I have something to go on now. I'm just getting a different release.

Thanks dezztroy, I combined what you said with what Sabin said to great success. Smile

So what are the benefits when you use a custom savegame?

Choices from previous games. My character had a romance with Kaidan in the first game, and that's been very apparent in the dialogue so far.

If you import a save, the game doesnt offer you the choice between Action/RPG/Story?
I hope it defaults to RPG.

But no freaking character appearance. I was forced to use the default Shepard. Stupid BIOWAREA. Getting over this, the game sucks big black hairy balls. It feels unfinished, unpolished, no lip sync, no nothing. And the 1 button awusomeness111!! is driving me crazy. Tried to open a friggin' elevator and did a roll.

As I now can wait, I'll wait patiencely for an unlocker for this DLC that comes with the game. Another stupid cunt idea, to add an IMPORTANT part of the game as a DLC at launch. At least they got rid of the action/rpg/narrative choices on the PC. I don't know what they selected for us though. Smile It doesn't feel as a RPG. I had my first level up with almost 40 points for the characters. WTF ???

Yeah there's no need for the wiimote stuff, works fine with a x360 controller for example.

Specific choices from the previous games carry over, you start at a higher level with the same abilities you had from ME2 as well as some points to create more, you get extra resources. That kind of stuff.

Yup! In fact, IMO it's best played with the classic controller (or, on the PC, a 360/PS3 one) rather than the Wiimote.

If you play with an imported character, it defaults to RPG mode.

Not true. If the face import fails, just copy/paste the face code.

Yup, my imported FemShep had a dog ugly face compared to how she was in ME2, so I just copied a new face code from MassEffect2faces.com instead.

As did I. My face import failed as well. I copied the code from ME2 and it worked just fine.
