Unless they fucked up somewhere and changing fov is backfiring somewhere else. This things happen in software development.

If a dev studio, especially one big as this, offers a simple FOV fix, people will certainly bitch. They just don't want to go through the hassle of testing and whatnot by offering a proper option.

It's sometimes the only thing you can do if you have to meet the deadline.

People really still believe that EA is the reason for BioWare turning into what it has become? BioWare was well down that path long before EA threw cash at them.

Not really, DAO was fantastic and so was ME1. The same can be said about every game prior to DAO, basically, all had Bioware magic and all felt and played amazingly. Then EA saw the oodles of money they were making from ME1/DAO and said "MOAR!! This time release it yearly!! MOAR BECAUSE MOAR!"
I'd say it was certainly equal parts blame.
@lukxxx
I'm not insulting you, you're free to like/hate whatever and whoever you wish.. all I ask is that you allow me the same courtesy. My lifestyle and my gaming habits are, to be blunt, none of your concern nor anybody else's for that matter.. but that doesn't make my grievances any less worthy. Even if I only gamed for an hour a week, my point would still be the same.

Lately i see people complaining about FoV on about 90% of all games (Even platformers...), most of the time you can adjust it thru some cofig file or tool, but i dont see any problem with FoV unless its set to like 180 or so... Yeah it gets annoyin' when set too like 90+ but theres no reason to rage about that and complain on every game.

Yes, but you aren't everybody. You are you and that's it, just because something is fine for you doesn't make it gospel truth. A narrow FOV affects everybody differently, even going as far as to induce physical symptoms such as nausea and headaches. Should those people just shut up and deal with it, or raise their voice?

The problem is not too high in 99.99%+ of the cases, it's a fov of about 60 that is the problem.

The problem isn't with 90+ fov, it's with 75- fov. Tunnelview. I can't play games like that, believe it or not.

All day. It's my life and I'll spend my time however I choose. If my own WIFE doesn't complain, then you certainly don't have the right to |
I don't complain I would happy scrap additional hour of two a day myself just for gaiming but most time I cant. I'm just yyyyy... puzzled?

Just because you can accept Bioware turning into a festering pile of EA-controlled faeces, doesn't mean everybody else must follow the same path. Some of us aren't happy with the way the company has degenerated and, like me, some of us don't wish to stay silent while our hobby has a corporate whore take a wet dump all over it .. AND we most certainly don't want people telling us to shut up when we raise our voice. Simply "accepting" this kind of bullshit is the very reason why Bioware pulls this kind of crap; because they know they can and people will lap it up. |
I get you guys are let down*, upset even. You express your opinion and it's ok. But you express it once, twice third, and than you start bitching. Just let it go and go with your hearts and thoughtswhere true cRPG's are made: CD Project Red, Bethesda, Obsydian etc.
You just act very immaturely. Like some school-kids, not like grown men.
* I will probably be too, but I'll wait to play the full game

Since when has holding an opinion and being vocal about it been considered immature?

Here's a hint; complain != maturity.

The problem isn't with 90+ fov, it's with 45- fov. Tunnelview. I can't play games like that, believe it or not. | Fixed.
75 not that bad (actually it's perfect for a 1440x900 res which is what I use ) but 90 is more adequate for 1080.
EDIT: durrrr, realized that you meant <75.

Mass.Effect.3-RELOADED :O
Spoiler: | nERv
Mass Effect 3 (c) Bioware
03/2012 :..... RELEASE.DATE .. PROTECTION .......: EA/Crap
2 :.......... DISC(S) .. GAME.TYPE ........: RPG
Not everyone will survive. An ancient alien race, known only as "Reapers",
has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction
in their wake.
Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and
you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction
You are Commander Shepard, a character that you can forge in your own image.
You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom
to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat
once and for all. How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into
combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault.
Utilize your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death
from a distance or go toe-to-toe with enemies using devastating melee
attacks. Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play
through a truly unique experience of your own creation.
1. Unrar
2. Burn or mount the image
3. Install the game
4. Copy the cracked content located in the Crack directory on either disc
into BinariesWin32 of your installation directory, overwriting
existing files
5. Play the game
6. Support the software developers. If you like this game, BUY IT
As usual we recommend firewalling the executables, not using Origin, and
avoiding EA |
