Sounds like one of those cases when the guy comes to a party and he says he doesn't drink but ends up drinking everyone elses booze, getting shitfaced and than vomiting all over the carpet.

Seems like he's expressing frustration over what Bioware's become and their derpification of a game-series he likes. Mostly, he's spot on imo.

Needs ghetto patching?
No way that I'll be buying a rusky key then which in turn means that I won't be buying this for quite a while then... unless the isodemo REALLY surprises me.

Thank you. That's exactly what I'm saying .. and I find it hilarious that I'm not allowed to express a negative opinion of the game - despite owning the first two on PC and first on 360. I sure as hell never said I'm not going to play it, in fact.. quite the opposite, I've been quite open with my intentions.

Yup that's pretty much it. Ah well... it gives the trolls something to jerk each off over, I guess.

From a cinematic and artistic point, he's right. If they have chosen the camera placement very carefully for the interactions and cinematic sequences then giving players a wider FOV will pretty much screw that up. It's like converting a 16:9 film to 4:3 by just cutting the sides, which they sometimes did back in the old days.
Enlargening the field of view has a similar effect.

This game is disappointment after disappointment and it's not released yet. There seems that there are no good news. Fuck BioWEREA.

The ONLY time the FOV looked right in the demo (the demo that we all played. the demo that I played. the demo that was confirmed to be the same as the retail) was during conversations. In actual combat and gameplay it simply doesn't look right, it's cramped and pretty much built for a sofa + console + TV set 10-15ft away. Not a PC screen 4ft away from the player.

At least don't bloody lie. Cutting 16:9 film to 4:3 REMOVES information, changing FoV is meant for ADDING information.

i dont see how player fov would screw up cinematics or conversations...
cant be that hard to keep a fixed fov for those and a custom one for when you play ...

Adding information is not as bad as removing it, sure, but it can also disturb a carefully crafted scene.
They could have made FOV dynamic, showing the intended FOV in the dialogue scenes and giving the players the possibility to choose FOV for freely for actual gameplay...
