this game should be all about action on a spectacular level, Shepard throwing punches left and right and shooting anything that moves.

+1

I never liked those RPG elements in this game anyway Rolling Eyes

Never would have guessed that people will actually miss those minigames. That was one thing in the demo that actually made me very happy (well, one of two, perhaps, second one being Vanguard getting buffed). Hated this shit. Wasn't complicated, wasn't a challange, wasn't fun. It was just a chore, and a very boring and repetitive one at that. It didn't even serve the immersion, since it wasn't even remotely connected to actual computer use/passwords and stuff like that. Give me hacking like in Bloodlines or Deus Ex:HR anytime - it was actually fun to play or guess the passwords. But shit like that from ME? I'm very glad it's gone.

Any news on a crack yet? I'm assuming all the used DRM is pretty standard (crackable) stuff, so it shouldn't take too long.

One and a half hour (ca) until it can be unlocked, unsure how long it would actually take then to crack the game executable but if it's just SecuROM it might go fairly quick.
(I have no idea though, SecuROM was also used in Syndicate and that took a few days.)

GUYS! GUYS! hold the fuck on.

Most of You think that game is derped to maximum. let me explain my experience.

Fucking minigames and mining are out. side mission took thheir place(with bad sorting).

most important. This game is not easy. not by a long shot it is a casual shooter. They did EXCELLENT job with importing saves.
I had my saves from me1 imported into me2 and used those saves in me3.

You start with all the abilities you had in ME2 + You get 10points to spend. if You import You character there seems to be no option to choose story/rpg/action. It goes with rpg automaticly.
I think game is way harder when importing saves, than doing fresh start. Bioware figured out that if You finished ME1 and ME2 certain way, they will wrap difficulty up.
And it feels harder than ME2 or at least the same. I even died a couple of times before I figured out that My shields etc recharge faster if i will carry less weapons with me on a mission.
There is very simple yet effective inventory which shows weapons stats, avaible upgrades etc.

It really feels like Me1 combined with Me2.

And about "no holster" controversy. I now know why they did it.... They wanted "back" button spare for quicksave. it is vast improvement to being able to quicksave with "back" button on a xbox. And weapon holsters in noncombat scenario so its not all that bad... but ye... running animations are very derp

but they could addeed fucking holster button on pc

You are a higher level, thus enemies are more advanced and that's why it appears more challenging, no doubt though the actual game is a bit harder than Mass Effect 2 now that they've refined the shooter parts of the game more. Smile
(Demo was a OK indication when played on the higher difficulty levels, probably not the best example compared to the actual game though.)

There is literally nothing left of what was once a fantastic company, it goes without saying that Obsidian - despite their games being buggier than a nuthouse rat - make infinitely superior games.

from looking at the demo, the game requires origin to be running in order to do a bunch of stuff, and doesn't like it if you do a simple change to disable origin (it'll exit complaining origin isn't running)

Not really. Who said that?

i am not defending the game. I just want to say that it is harder and a more complex than It looks from the previews and trailers. thats all. They proboably wanted to get new audience with this stupid marketing.

If the combat is like in the "demo" then it's absolutely retarded. That's not hard, that's simply frustrating, just like in DA2. Even the different difficulties are dumbed down a lot in games these days. Fuck off, just give me games like the first 2 Gothic games, in which you had no difficulty levels and the games were made hard from the start. If you wanted the games to become easier you needed to learn skills and actually become better at it yourself.

Nowadays harder difficulty means enemies have more health and do more damage and you have less health and do less damage.

FUCK YEAH!1!! SO HAAAARD!!!1!! lol wut lol wut lol wut

I did notice the demo being very difficult in insanity mode, me2 was hard, but in me3 you take 2 or 3 shots and you´re dead. I still remember that sidequest in me2 in which you had to destroy 3 heavy mechs (early game), that was the hardest part of the game, the rest of the game was quite easy. But hey... u$s 700 worth of dlcs, super duper armor and bfgs lol wut
