Well im reading, watching reviews since a week or something and i still dont know what to chose.
I'm looking for a screen mainly for gaming so no or minimum of ghosting would be great.
The models i'm considering atm are:
LG IPS231P-BN
Dell U2312HM
Cost: around 200 €
Hope to find here some good advices :]
If the choice is between those two, Dell wins with ease (I tried both screens). I have no idea whether new budget IPS screens were released in the last 4-5 months though (since I bought my Dell).
At that price range, you cant go wrong with the Dell. There is also the U2212, but its a bit smaller.
Personally I'd always choose a 16:10 over a 16:9 screen, so I'd suggest a Dell U2412 for about 50€ more.
Alternatively, you have the HP ZR2240w, which seems to perform on par with the Dell at the same price (geizhals.de) or the HP ZR22w, if you dont want LED backlight. (I prefer ccfl backlight myself, as I do not like the edge-led tech.)
Al those screens use 6bit panels, and all those panels are good enough for gaming. I'd say, take a look at them yourselves and decide then. The differences are marginal concerning image quality (from my experience).
