I still have hope, yes its too much family and teen bullshit and the last episodes were solid at most but there lies alot of potential in the set-up and story.
I wanna know more about the scribbling at the waterfall and communication with the future...
If this show would finally pick up its red thread and introduce some more action and scifi it could be really good.
Well i have to admit i like this show pretty much.
Surely the CGI is not always top notch but who cares,it's not as bad as some ppl are claiming here and it totally doesnt bother me at all.
I guess they do the best they can with their small budget.

This show feels so 90's. I like it, I miss those times.
The producers also made Star Trek DS9 btw.
Ratings-wise its still on the bubble, if FOX cancels it that would be a real shame.
I will let this show lie unless I hear some really amazing feedback from this show. It was just so un-rewarding to watch the first couple of episodes..

I think this is a good show. While I understand that the target audience isn't exactly 17-18-year old socially rejected forum nerds with a penchant for drama, and that the whole notion of a "semi-functional" family with Hollywood-stereotype issues is less than interesting, I still think that both the casting and the acting in this is good enough for the story and narrative of the show.
I think that especially in the later episodes the chemistry between the main cast (including the family members) becomes much better, and I find the story interesting enough to call it worth a second season.
If you are a teenager yourself, or barely just got out of your teens, and still go "OMG LAME FAMILY STUFF, MEH" - then this will be the worst shit ever. If you on the other hand have left family issues behind you, you will be able to let the cheese go, and get into the main plot of this show, which *IS* rather good. In spite of shoddy CGI in the first few episodes.

The probe, they never found blabla so figured out it was a different time stream. So they wouldnt have settled there, if it was the same stream sd theirs, because of the whole grandfather thingy (kill your grandfather, never get born, cant kill grandfather bs) but they have NO REMORSE on doing that to anyone in the other timestream (fixed).

Confirming that you watch shows like this for the realism.
But let's entertain the notion for a bit:
A lot of these lizards had thick skeletal plates to deal with heavy blows, a lot of them had their vital organs placed differently due to having to deal with a lot of predators, some had their brains located inside the body (not the head), et cetera. Also, since they fire a lot of rounds in bursts, (sometimes from a vehicle in motion) the chances to hit vital organs are slim.
Those elephants are standing still, and the dude (also standing still) firing knows exactly where to aim.
In close quarters combat they've killed or subdued several "lizards" tho. Take for instance when they headshot a dinosaur with one round (and it dies (unrealistically because that breed did (as aforementioned) not have its primary brain there)

About "killing" another timeline, I agree with you. But we don't know everything. Perhaps the decision was made because they knew that in that timeline man became extinct, or perhaps some of those people who "just didn't give a fuck" made the call to go there in the first place. None of the characters in the series are exactly altruistically "good".
Quite enjoyed the first episode, i think fisk is right.. good for what it is..

well i just started watching this (it started showing on tv last week) and so far... you know... its ok. i mean i love sci-fi effects shows, and dinosaurs ftw, so i like it for that kinda shit, but the main characters are very unlikable for me (the main family for instance), though i do like the dude who runs the place. also its fucking far too cheesy... but ill keep watching for the dinosaurs

and who the fuck designed those vehicles. seriously.... it has to be the most retarded vehicle design i think i have ever seen (talking mainly about the 'heavy' offroader... the skull-lookin motherfucker.... its batshit retarded, i can not believe someone OK'd that design. also, open-doored light jeep type vehicles? in dinosaur land? really?

This shit was dead after one episode, the premise is great but the acting/actors kill it instantly, not many things are a waste of free but this really is.
