add my name to that list, but... what i enjoyed in diablo 2, they've basically already confirmed that it's not coming back.
i admit, there are reasons that with current generation graphics having a horde of skeletons well into the mid to high double digits would probably not be feasible and would probably run like shit, it does though make me wish that they'd delayed diablo 3 until doing it properly without stripping it of the essential pure summoning classes because of hardware and graphics technology constraints was the choice, we've waited for another diablo since the early nineties blizzard, if computer hardware can't handle a real necro class and run properly with tons of summons on the screen don't even start it until 2030 or whenever would have been far preferable than destroying the series.

in the earlier phases of the beta, accounts would sell for 300$+
people also rented em out for like 20 or 30 bucks a day
not something I'd spend my money on, even though I am a big diablo fan,
but if someone has a lot of money to spare and just badly wants to play some d3, why not?

I've had a key since last week but still haven't been able to play it due to the 315300 error.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Usually a good buyer asks for scans of the cd keys anyway and double checks them, that way that IF you try to get yours back, he can get it back aswell due to the scans. (You prolly still get it back, but can be banned due to account selling)
Even so, you best wait 60 days so he can't chargeback with paypal.
But still, it's pretty low if you do so tbh.

I played on DR's account a bit yesterday. Went with barbarian as that's always been my favourite. I like being a dual wielding madman
The bad:
- MMO UI. Permanent chatbox, permanent map, permanent quest tracker, tons of "MASSACRE! 17 kills XP bonus" all over the place. It's very flashy. The bottom bar is still nice and simple and in fact quite good, but all the other stuff needs settings so they can be turned off.
- No more stats; I knew they'd be gone, but I didn't think I'd care. It does take away a little from the RPG feel. From a practical point of view it doesn't really matter, as in D2 you typically went one way or another depending on your build, you never balanced them out.
The good:
- Presentation is good. Before anyone goes "BUT IT'S SO BRIGHT/COLOURFUL/CARTOONY" - I suggest you play D2 again. The fog is about the same, and spells as well as your character are just as brightly lit as they are in D3 now. The engine runs without a hitch for me (1080p maxed out, frame limiter set to 60, VSync off). It's by no means a graphical revolution, but it looks good nonetheless. The lighting system is very nice to look at in fact. It really isn't like WoW, it's actually D2 on a newer engine.
- Sound rocks. Same old eerie tunes as before, the effect for spells and abilities sound pretty darn good. Nice impact sounds.
- Gameplay is still simple as ever; the way the skills work may seem overly simplified, but it is in fact very effective. Much easier to see what your build is like, there's no need to wait 40 levels before spending any points. That said, a proper build tree I'd still prefer, but not like in the first two, because both had equally broken skill trees.
I'll finish things as barbarian later and then perhaps try out some other classes. So far it seems like an enjoyable game, I just hope that either they change the UI options or let us mod those out.
Looking forward to giving PoE a try as well; that looks more like a "classic" H&S although graphically it also looks pretty darn bland from what I've seen, again thanks to DR <3

Ah, yeah, from what I played in the beta I have some complaints.
1. WHERE IS THE HIGHLIGHT ITEMS BUTTON. I might be missing something and simply not found it, but I'm pretty sure it's not there. And before you scream , the problem is somewhat with a design. In D1/D2 the barrels, for instance, were very distinctive and you could clearly see them and distinguish them from the environment, and in D3 it's not the case. More often than not I found myself not noticing the barrels/urns and simply didn't receive the loot.
2. It's online-only. Not only that, it seems it's server sided somehow. What I mean is, because there were so few servers open in EU, my ping was about 200, and I was actually DROPPED from the game because of "lost connection" and I had to restart the dungeon.
And I agree with Werelds

They will probably enable offline mode for SP after some time. Knowing Blizzard this is only dream maybe, but hey even Ubisoft recently did something like this with Assassin's Creed 2.

*screams *
Tried pressing good old "Alt"?
Barrels are a bit hard to spot at first, but once you get used to it it's fine. Barrels/weapon racks/armour racks weren't permanently highlighted in D2 either, no difference there. It's just that visually they're a bit darker now, so yeah, they stand out a bit less (which has more to do with the fact that it's not sprites than anything else).
I still enjoyed the hour I played last night, looking forward to more. 2012 should be good with TL2, D3 and then possibly GD and PoE.
