Quote:
It has also been confirmed that final version of Mass Effect 3 will have same configuration tool that was present in demo version of the game. This implies that PC gamers won't have access to advanced graphical option.

In comparison to ME2, Film Grain and Light Environment Shadows options are missing.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

There's a ton of advanced graphics options to adjust if you tweak the config file, no different from any other UE3 title. Smile
(And there's some more options in the game and not just the launcher.)

( Just some smaller tweaks I did - http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1794985#1794985 )

Havent they stated via twitter that the pc version would have high res textures?

edit:

https://twitter.com/#!/masseffect/status/170241954423123968

The final edition of the game will have hi-res textures included in it, no additional pack will be required to download.

Phew.

The texture files are about 500 MB, unsure if anyone compared that to the demo but I don't think there's much of a difference unless they do a separate download as with Dragon Age 2.

Dynamic Shadows are included in those pics.

Also part of in-game options in demo.

P.S.
Option actually missing from ME2 is "light environment shadows". And personally, I never got hang on what that option actually did in ME2.

I think I have somewhere saves from ME2, but many of characters died from my team in the last mission of ME2, should I care/bother with using those saves on ME3?

If they're dead, they won't appear in ME3, so the story and dialogue will be different, not by much though. You can also download somebody else's save. There is quite the variety.

BTW, these info are CORRECT, as I am already downloading the preload.
It will probably work like BF3 did, someone will use a HK proxy to unlock the game and then just pass the decrypted exe around and which should be enough for other people to play it.

what did you expect, the so-called "release date check" is a bitchy system, even for gamers having preordered the game Laughing

Well, you download that with your PC, right? So that means this is PC piracy as well. All piracy is PC piracy, and fuck you, if you don't believe, what EA says!

I'm gonna tweet @MassEffect asking them about that. They'll probably ignore it, but we'll see. Laughing

Edit: Sent this @masseffect Mass Effect 3 for X360 is out on torrents 3 days before official release, any comments on that?
