I really am not sure if this is a hardware issue but here goes...
My friend has something on his computer, I would guess a worm of some sort that is causing his internal PC speaker to beep randomly... Generally the beeps seem to be about 5 minutes or more apart. It does this at any time its on, whether its in use or not. I have no idea what is causing this but I figured internal speaker acting funny = hardware forum worthy. He thinks it might have something to do with a file called "eau.exe" that he says crashes frequently... If anyone has any advice on this issue, please let me know... I tried doing the standard google search for the symptoms but I reallly don't know enuf about the problem to get a sufficient result.

Hmm, try using Virus/Ad-ware scanners on it to see if there's something on there. If that doesn't work, I duno what will, short of reformat.

If its internal PC speaker beeps then he might have touble with his hardware.
Best thing to do is for him to make sure nothing is lose on his mobo
unplug eveything on his mobo and plug it back it,

Im a long time lurker..new to post. anyways
I had that exact same problem with my computer. Random PC speaker beeps. What i found was wrong with my system was a simple Bio setting. I had my temperature thresholds set to low. Now no more beeps. Not sure if this is your exact problem. Hope this helps.
