Wow, I wonder how heavily modified the 2004 engine is now!
1 and 2 are still amazing.

It doesn't look that different judging from the small screens in the link, definitely anachronistic to say the least

Eh. I'd rather play this than CoD, anyways.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.

It's a oversight, you have to edit the config file manually, most things are already set up OK but you have to set the resolution which defaults to 1024x768
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\
(Painkiller something or maybe it was just RecurringEvil.)

Yeah it's silly how they missed that, I guess the custom main menu they use messed up the layout or some such.
(It's all script files but I didn't go trough it, it's all unpacked to in the LScripts folder so you can edit most anything.)

I like how the game does not even changed past 6+ years, i still remember playing this with an old friend back in the days with Pentium4 and so, and for that times it was great game, the physics and stuff, nailing people to the walls ! After 6 years, its the same game.... nothing changed, i tried other "sequels" but they were the same, i thought this will have something new into it... Once i started the game and was not able to find Graphical Options, i knew it wont be, so i deleted it 10 mins after i installed it. What a shame.

To have Video options, put this file:http://www.mediafire.com/?lryenflyv8p27wo
in folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Games\Painkiller Recurring Evil\Data\Lscripts\Hud\Menu\Options

Hey, it works for Call of Duty, I can see why these devs are going with the same philosophy.
