Visual Effects breakdowns for season 2:

I love these things. Some are obvious, some I was really surprised by.

I'm surprised by all the added zombies, I would think it would be cheaper just to throw in a couple of extras in the set instead, not like those people are really paid anyway

good stuff.. i always enjoy these breakdowns, doing some effects myself here and there
they probably have a library of cg zombies they just copypaste on the scene
there's only the initial cost of making the library and after that it's just aligning the camera, copypaste, masking them in and color correcting

Even with the limited budget they spared no expenses with the make-up and special effects, too bad they had to save when it came to the locations. A rented farm and 100m^2 of woods for an entire season Razz

I think the opposite. Season 2 has really been about human nature and how each and one of us would react when our made up social rules dont exist anymore. Do we start killing each other and become a tribal culture like we once were or have we come so far as to be able to keep some kind of civility even when the world has ended.
Its a shame these themes seem to go unnoticed for most viewers. Perhaps the show is too smart for its own good...

Nah.. I'm entertained. Compared to the ubiquitous Zombie Apocalypse movies going around these days, this stuff keeps me plugged. I love series when any of the main characters could go at any moment so don't feel too attached now (not that both Shane or Rick will go quite yet... Wink )

Can't say anything I would change but I know how I would end this FARM season for the ages..

The other renegade faction get their ultimate revenge: two tractor trailers roll up just off the property.. back doors open.. horses from another trailer are unloaded and forced to run towards center of the farm.. out of two tractor trailers comes hundreds of what were "cattled zacks" which then proceed to follow running horses to bait the hordes towards the farm.. overwhelmed, all farm occupants must perm evacuate the area leaving it over-run.

Come on admit it thats bloody cool but err.. would require a ton of effort to cattle all kinds of zacks for what kind of benefit? hehe.. Still.. would be entertaining for a Zombie Apocalypse series..

I quit watching but my wife watches it so I catch parts here and there, enough to see that I haven't missed anything. Damn near a whole season has gone by and they haven't done shit but squabble about non-sense. Right now they got 1/4th interesting drama, 2/4 boring/soap opera filler drama and 1/4 action. Hopefully they get a bigger budget for season 3 and can cut the shit.

People said the same thing at the end of season one and season 2 is still the same boring crap. After the first 2 episodes of season 2, i stoped watching it cause it was going the same shitty way season 1 was....stupid drama with boring arguments. Out of a 43 minutes episode, you have 40 minutes of talking bullshit and 3 minutes of zombies.

Wow.

This was so bad that it's actually pure comedy when the drama happens.

Ok so let's see, this show is so complex, I need to set things straight for myself:

- first season zombies could smell
- second season zombies lost smell
- third season zombies are now ninjas with backstab skills.

Last nights episode was indeed pretty shitty. I don't mind the slow pace or the drama but that was just painful and the fact that during that whole episode they still didn't manage to kill that guy is stupid. Hopefully Carl mans up next episode and tells them how the shit head tried to manipulate him so that they can finally shoot that fucker in the head
