oh my god... That is terrible.. Especially when I realize that same thing can happen to everyone who drives a car. the guy was just driving to work or whatever and BUM.. gone.

As you can see, he hits the snow on his left side, dragging his car to the left, so he counter steers, which results in his car going too hard right, which then sends him into that van.
When hitting the van, he bounces back (combined with counter steer again I assume), and goes too hard out to straight it out again. The tiny control he had is now lost, and he's on his way to meet his grandparents.
And since he was so 'lucky', a truck was just coming down that road when he was on it.
