Sadly, I have to agree with some of the points here.
Basicly, the game is a rather poorly executed shooter with way too much bloom (even for console standards), way too resistant enemies and way too few fun skills at the players disposal. Suiciding those weak loosers grows old fast, as does destroying their weapons. Also, enemies resistant to your breach abilities (in addition to being absurdly resistant to firepower) mean that for a good part of the game you're just a sad mofo with (cool) guns, who happens to die twice as easily as anyone he's shooting at.
When it comes to delivering that "I am bad ass" feel, they failed completely. It's even worse if you happened to play Darkness II just a few days before this. I can say many good and bad things about that game, but I can't deny the fact that most of the time, while I was slashing, dismembering and shooting everything in sight, I felt like frickin God. There's nothing of that feeling in Syndicate.
All in all, for me this seems like the biggest dissapointnment this year, at least so far. I really wish they decided on a different aproach. A squad-based TPS Syndicate game, with slightly open-ended missions that gave you multiple ways to your destination (kinda ala DX:HR) could have been a blast, and one a lot closer to the original game's feel, too.
Just tried it for the first time, whats up with the xbox controls prompt when actions are needed, i was trying to guess what "X" and "RB" where, gg >.< searched a bit on options to see if there was a way to convert xbox controls to mouse/keyboard but havent found, is there a way ?
Only bit I bothered to record but it gets much much worse. Towards the end you are locked in a room for several minutes. I just ran around from guy to guy hitting my middle mouse. Occasionally breaching an imune guy and using the homing rounds to take him out.

Do you have a controller of some sort plugged in? Try removing it.

Lol, I've just reached the downZone, it's absurd those bums are able to take so many bullets and also have invisibility cloaks. I mean, invisibility for fuck sake! I'm some megacorps bitch and I don't even have that!
Yet the DownZone is the only real part of the game that actually felt like Syndicate. Those gorgeous (if cramped and linear... sigh...) Blade Runner-esque areas. Nom.
Whats the secret with the boss douche that jumps from the platforms and fires missiles at you. I can't hack 5 missiles that come at me and I can dodge the first two sets but he always gets me the third time.
Use the DART overly, it's the only way to hack all 5 missiles in each salvo. Turn on DART, hack quickly, disable DART to let it regen in time for the next salvo. After a few rounds of this, the boss will change where he leaps..........

Yeah, they totally dropped the ball.
My memory of Syndicate is that everybody is chipped up and believes they're living in some sort of Utopia, but when the chip fails the veil is removed and you see the world as it really is; dark, gritty, BladeRunner-esque.
In this game the elite are chipped up. Why? What does it do? How does the chip make their world better? The physical world they live in is a pleasant place anyway, what benefit does the chip bring?
Not that I am at all surprised, but it is reading like this might be a pass, even as a download.
We all knew this was going to have very little to do with the classics, but is the game good on any level as a standalone title?

You cant even Melee those guys, somehow wearing an optic-camo raincoat makes em immune to a charging Agent in DART-Mode.They slap your face and send you to the ground.
There are some scenes/locations where i think "ha,thats from the old Syndicate",like this big circle-machine,at which you get "your body fixed up" but the corridor-shooter part of the game bitters the taste. So much wasted potential, aaargh
Extract it to your .exe directory and edit the cfg file. Set "renderaheadlimit=1" for lowest possible input lag. Will not work with other injections such as FXAA.
Note that this is not the same as the control panel setting as the CP setting get overriden by practically every game out there, hence the need to inject.
For someone that's supposed to be some super killing machine agent I sure don't feel like it. If I'm so badass then why does every battle revolve around me cowering in a corner somewhere waiting for my health to regenerate?
So I finally just played this for a good 15-20 minutes. And here is the timechange01 verdict on Syndicate....
I LIKE IT!!! The mouse sensitivity felt too sensitive and awkward at first but if you wind it down in the options, it feels fine. Yes the bloom is overdone and i was expecting my eyes to get raped after reading all the posts and seeing all the screenshots here. But honestly I think it actually looks fine for this particular game. It kind of works well with the visual style of the game and its definitely tolerable. I wouldn't really bitch and moan about this. Many people didn't like the light flares in BF3 but I again thought that worked well with the visual style the devs were trying to achieve in BF3. Im pretty sure the Syndicate devs didnt just randomly put a shitload of bloom just for the hell of it. Its there to achieve a certain style, it has purpose
Also the game is very smooth and fluid, it feels quite nice. The gun play feels quick, smooth and responsive. I haven't done any takedowns or anything like that, I strictly stuck to just shooting. Overall Im actually enjoying this game quite a lot. It reminds me of those Prey 2 videos. The game is decent and very enjoyable. Im glad I didn't skip this

Here are my more precise issues with this game - gameplay and story wise.
- As many have mentioned before our hero feels weak and lame compared to other agents. DART 6 is supposed to be able to control the previous generation chips. But you cannot hack the agent's ones. Presumably due to the fact that they are encypted. But why on earth you can't backfire their weapon especially when they can yours. Are they encypted too?
- Everybody else have better equipment then you, mirror technology, jump packs, cammo, some hard ass armor and are still more tough than you, the most advanced of agents.
- Ergo DART 6 is shit but maybe it's just "according to someones plan"?
- Why later in the game you are designated to get your chip extracted and you yourself scrapped without any apparent reason if there is a machine that can fully heal you in just seconds? Da fuck?
And Lilly that dumb bitch:
Spoiler:
What the fuck she was thinking? Start the war between Syndicate to turn them down as in the end she just handed over Europcorp to Cayman. They were clearly preparing for "hostile take over" and with you killing all EC best agents and their CEO just gave them whole Europe on a plate. The Aspari didn't even take part in it. She changed absolutly NOTHING!
You stupid, stupid screenwriter! Oh! I just wanted to kill that stupid bitch the entire time I've seen her. And last but not least why being such a priviieged character, chief scientist she could use her position to bring her parents from the DownZone to "UpZone"? Jack would clearly allow for that. Stupid fucking bitch!
Why Starbreeze coludn't stick to original and I couldn't play an antagonist a bad ass mind wiped drone like Merit was? They could think for a second and made Merit the turned over agent after he was fucked up by the "noob" Aspari agent as he called him. And I would have to protect my masters assets?

The ship is not extracted or anything, it's just locked down and as I understood it Dart-6 is mostly for covert operations (But it sure doesn't seem that way with how the game plays out.) whereas Dart-5.6 (Or what it was, it's in the co-op game.) is more about assault since it has a greater number of powers and functionality though it's nowhere near as flexible.
(Hacking in co-op is extremely slow without synching up with other players, chip extraction is also much more messy as you sort of suck it out from the agents spine instead of grabbing only the chip via that advanced utility.)
Just my own opinions on those specific two things, other than that I mostly agree with what you said.
EDIT: Whoops, Chip not Ship.

I thought it was fun. Somewhere between Crysis 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution in the gameplay dept., although certainly nowhere near as good as DX and really not as good as Crysis 2. Still, I'm having fun playing it, despite it being kind of a brain dead shooter.
I hope some kind soul PMs me the original uncracked EA.dll & Syndicate.bin. exe would be a plus too, but not necessary.
c wut i did thar? i didn't request a thing.. hoping =/= requesting
edit: hmm.. after translating some Russian and such I hear those files don't exist on the legit version, can someone confirm? Makes sense, in that EA.dll might be in this case 3dm's skidrow.dll like thing, dunno why the bin tho, guess it's the original exe and their cracked exe is a loader or something..
edit2: well, whatddaya know, just renamed the bin to exe and was presented with what seems to be the original exe.
edit3: either the 3dm crack was flawed or I managed to calibrate my display better this time, since the bloom doesn't seem nearly as awful as the first time I tried this. I mean it's still reallyfuckingterrible, but not even nearly as totally distracting as it seemed the first time I fired this up. I'll have to swap the cracks again sometime to be sure what caused the improvement. somehow I doubt the crack could make a difference. maybe I also loaded from a spot with less of the "amazing FX0rz".. can't bother to try now. ENB could do wonders for this game, hope boris cooks up a version for this.. *fingers crossed*
