I loved Alan Wake, it's in my top 10 best games this gen, going to buy this sucker for sure! |
To be fair, most arcade games look "sharper" than Alan Wake because it renders at 960x576 |
yeah...right
Upgrades to the Wake engine are clearly noticeable. First up, there's an obvious resolution boost, up from 960x544 to what we think (after some hints from Markus Maki) is in the region of 1120x585 - just over 25 per cent higher than it was in Alan Wake's debut outing. The increase to resolution is immediately apparent, especially on Alan himself

It's a desert alright, but it's in no way barren as your remark implies. There's definitively a lot of vegetation detail in the environment.

Finished this last night. Really enjoyed it alot. I received the happy ending, I wonder if there are more than two? Still need to find 6 manuscript pages over the 3 levels. I look forward to more Alan Wake titles

Uhh... the game only has one ending, guys. The end of AW isn't the end of the season/story, you have to finish The Signal and The Writer, but there's no "happy" or "sad" ending. It's like a TV series, that's it.

They're talking about American Nightmare. And yeah, there's just one ending; I don't think the "Happy Ending" achievement has anything to do with multiple endings.

Yeah, an unlockable Nightmare diff level would have been nice. However, the arcade mode provides a decent level of challenge; but even though the "combat" is a lot more enjoyable in AN, without any story the incentive to play that mode is very low, for me at least.

Oh I did not notice that. Is the game installed on the HDD ? |

Are we talking about the same game? In what messed up world does 30fps equal buttery smooth
And yes the game was installed on the HDD not that it would make a difference.
