Is there a version of these injectors that don't require me to press a button to activate when a game starts?

Mine/ixi's. It's on by default =) Though all can be set to auto-activate, if I'm not mistaken.

LOVING your settings, mate. I honestly don't play a game (DX9/DX10, of course) without it. I just wish it worked on DX:HR in DX11 mode |
I think I still have an old version available somewhere on my hdd that worked even with dx11
edit: Here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?6de7ae119savt1x
It's not perfectly tweaked but

There's the "technicolor" setting that can be adjusted and kinda changes the palette making it less yellowish, but the result is far from being good, imo . Maybe it's possible to find a compromise, but it requires a lot of tweaking (and time )

There are some nice touches in this game, but they're few and far between... and buried by all the boneheaded bullshit design choices :\
@fable
I may have to. Seriously. The acceleration is making it hard to actually AIM at the enemy >_<
ok, I've only been playing for 20 minutes but this is just fucked :\
*Terrible FOV. Really claustrophobic.. and I played Darkness 2 without WSFixer at first.
*Mouse controls are horrific, it's extremely difficult to aim due to acceleration and general horrible feel.
*MOARBLOOMBECAUSEMOAR! Even with the InjectFXAA removing some of the vaseline from the scree and toning down the bloom, it's STILL overpowering. It's too much and it's not even remotely stylish.
*Light shafts. Um, what? No, what? I wasn't aware a lightbulb gave off thick shafts of light like godrays. GodraysRus! >_<
This is just really poor work from Starbreeze. It's fairly obvious the geniuses behind The Darkness and the Riddick titles are no longer working there, because this is really poor. It's a shame because the game DOES have some decent things going for it and the atmosphere is intense! It's not Syndicate, not by any stretch of imagination, but as a cyberpunk shooter? It COULD work... if only all of the above ^^ was fixed.
~edit~
Oh and sprinting? It disables all the bloom/light glare.... go figure

And what happens when you decide to run...

By the way, all five of those shots are using inject_FXAA. Without it the bloom is brighter and the screen is pale and washed out. GG.

It's worth the time if you can stomach the overpowering bloom, the nauseating field of view and the ridiculous mouse control. Discard the name and you're left with what seems to be a way-above-average cyberpunk shooter with some great atmosphere and even better music ... but still, the bloom, FOV and mouse control kills it, just as the name offends fans of the original.

Mine only did that when I had a controller plugged in. Removing the controller switched the onscreen prompts back to keyboard/mouse display.

Judging from all the screens posted/Sabin's feedback and gameplay videos I've seen, in order to have the game in a playable state we need at least a bloom disabler, a mouse controls enhancer and a Fov fixer.
Or there's the option #2 which is, play it the way it's meant to be played!

I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this comment, but I enjoyed it.
Yes the bloom/glare/lighting levels are ridiculous, the FOV sucks, and the aiming is wonky due to acceleration, but I still enjoyed my play through once I forced myself to get used to or look past all of that. Took a while, but I did it.
Maybe it was the whole cyberpunk/corp agent feel that grabbed me, or that the game somehow reminded me of Timeshift.
Keep in mind this is from the perspective of someone who never played Syndicate Wars (I got the demo on disc from PC Gamer back then, but never grabbed full). And yea, I'd much rather if the characters/lore were taken and transformed into something more Deus Ex like with espionage/dialogue etc. But the game wasn't bad apart from the above mentioned flaws.
7/10 taken for what it is and not what it once was.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
