60k a year won't get you far despite what people here claim. If you officially live here, you'll have to pay massive taxes on that - 40-50% or so leaving $30k which is what I make after all taxes. Enough for a house and a car but nothing huge.

lol, where?

this is for canada (avg tax rate = what you pay) which is likely higher than the US (and $300K+ before you even hit 40% and infinity dollars before you get to 50%). I doubt even Norway is even that high on 45K in euros...

Fuck that bitch. Mine was the same, always fuckin nagging cause i play video games, then i stoped and started to get out more, then she start nagging about this. I stay in she bitch, i go out, she bitch..womans are so fuckin retarded.

Here's what you should do, give a big kiss goodbye to your twins and leave for a 3 weeks vacation(or more). Go in countries like Serbia where 2$ gives you a sucky sucky for a week. Or go to Ukraine, womans are beatifull and fuck them all in the butt till your dick fell off...then come back to your kids.

A divorce hurt, worse when its for dumb fuck reasons like she gave you but keep that in mind, you have one life to live, now you're free, so go live it.

If you're in a mid life crisis, i'd say move to Thailand and live like a king for a month or two. You can live like a king there for only $1,500 a month, and believe me when I say, you'll forget all about your family once there Wink

Not criticising or judging here. but dude, you have kids and they should be your first priority, they need you and you need to be near them. i have a three year old boy and he is my world and i would do anything to care and protect for him, even through divorce i would never leave him for anything. Take a break, go for a full blow out whatever for a few months, but those babies need a you Wink

Why would he pay European taxes as an American citizen?


Unless you are an American, and speaking about the USA.


You kinda pay taxes in the country you live in.

60k dollars, isn't that much in Europe... add to that, depending on the situation, he might still have to pay US income tax too, unless military employee.

And, the dollar vs euro atm, isn't doing to well..

I'd go to a nice warm Island somewhere instead.. Carribeans? Razz

Actually, USA is one of the few countries I know of that requires its citizens that live abroad to pay income tax in USA if they make above a certain amount each year, on top of what they pay abroad..

Actually Namarie, in most of Europe there's tax treaties between countries. You report income in both countries and pay some in one country, some in another.

@ garus/inz: and then they find out (not hard for them, or anyone really) and you get bumfucked for evading taxes Razz

todd's already said he's not moving though, so none of that applies Smile

And just for the record, in NL that 60k USD would be about 45k EUR, good for roughly 38% taxes. That's still well above modal and a pretty good income in fact Smile
