havent downloaded from rapidshare for a couple of days, but ever since the other filehosts started closing ranks, i expected rapidshare to pull a cunt move like they did last time...
my links no longer work with jdownloader, im getting a quarter of the speed, and im getting a countdown timer... i dont know if speed is an issue for people elsewhere in the world, but is anyone else finding that the other shit is happening to them as well?
thanks, its not just me. i knew theyd do this again after mu went down, and everyone else started shutting up shop and deleting like crazy, and rapidshare felt like they were top dog again.
I grabbed two PSN downloads from RS a few days ago, using JDownloader. I got max speed (only 1MB/s on my current line) and no waiting time between each file -- 100MB parts of 1.6GB total. Times two. Rapidshare has been scarily good of late, I really hope they don't go full retard again.

i really hope its just a temporary glitch, and that they havent forgotten what happened last time. because if they are pulling this shit again, they probably dont realise how much more attractive its going to make any new file hosts that pop up to try their luck in the arena...
I'm still getting full speed from Rapidshare, I'm grabbing Amalur Reckoning from there and they're still giving me 1MB/s with no wait time between files.
well ive noticed my speed has picked up a bit, so perhaps it was just something they were messing about with their servers or something... well, we'll see.
Oh, c'mon guys. Maybe that slowdowns were just caused by heavy load on servers due to... weekend traffic. You know, it was Saturday evening, it's cold as fuck in Europe (Rapidshare servers are located in Switzerland) so people stay at home, need to watch/play something but first have to download something...
Only if Rapidshare goes full retard on any weekday night, it means that they're going back to bad ol' days.

but i definately know they did SOMETHING, because i was seeing a countdown timer at one point, which was new, and jdownloader threw a fit with my rapidshare links (but i havent tried updating it yet, so it might be fixed by now.
i guess you guys have been out of the loop, there is full speed and no wait during "happy hours" thats when there isnt a heavy load on their servers cause paid customers are guarenteed full speed.
jDownloader stopped working with RS links a couple days ago, it returns "Missing File" error. The plugin author is aware of it and has said it will be fixed on Monday (tomorrow; 6th)

Who's complaining? Like I said; I get nothing but max speed and no waits at all times of the day. It's all good
Rapidshare is great for me, finding links is a pain in the ass though since people aren't getting paid to upload there.
My speeds are only 150-250k so can't comment on that but I have noticed the occasional wait time, once it was over 4 minutes and I'm sure that file was under 100mb but it's usually instant download.
Jdownloader reports that the site downloads around 2mb, pauses for 30-60 seconds, downloads another chunk, pauses, downloads, pauses, etc
It reportedly happens with straight browser downloads too
Not sure about premium users but free users are screwed unless this is temporary
