Obviously the search doesn't work, the previous topic was named IIRC "The new Splinter Cell game".
Anyway, according to this source:

the new Splinter Cell game will be released in 2012 for all 3 platforms. The game is developed by Ubisoft Toronto, and the head producer(I think) is Jade Raymond. The bad news is, Maxime Retard is also back on board.

I kinda liked conviction, the single player was kinda meh, but the coop portion of the game was excellent.
Can't wait for more details!

"We received a lot of feedback regarding Mark & Execute. Many players were confused and annoyed because they couldn't use it when they wanted to, so we thought- "hey, Fisher is a veteran secret agent, he should do this thing on the fly". And so we implemented it into the game. By doing that we wanted to broaden the audience and make the game accessible, you will no longer be frustrated by your inability to pull off awesome sexy moves. Call it a Mark & Execute 2.0 if you will"

Which then translates into the most horrible control scheme ever to be devised on a PC port?

Why the hell not?
Ubishit's mega OMGZ ->tactical<- shooter Ghost Recon 4 will apparently use it, so why wouldn't this one?
