No, seriously, I can feel your pain Welcome to the world where it tooks several hours to download a regular Iso demo and fullHD movies are seen as mirages, a thing of the future
@Jippy: I'm on Telecom too, it's a disaster...but luckily the connection is more stable lately. Until 3-4 weeks ago it would drop every 15 minutes :/

About 13 euros. And the VAT is going up 2% next month to 25%.
It's not alot in the grand scheme of things, but between Ixigias ladyboy fees, food, bills, and the need for a new car, 10mbps wasn't really necessary. It will be missed.

I though that was our secret, no more money for you
And I'm saving up for a car so some things had to go. It was a choice between beer and internet.
Not a difficult choice. |
Haha *curses* you don't want to see me completely broke do you?
I'm saving for a new car too , since the Yaris from 1999 is definitely starting to be too vintage and not exactly sexy .
The fact that I barely drink anymore is helping a lot, otherwise I'd have to downgrade to 1Mbit with limited bandwidth of 250MB

Go play Quake Live FFA (which is more or less what TDM in BF3 equates to given the fucked up spawning), TDM or CA. I fucking love TDM and CA, as that's where my roots lie, but in BF3? Not with that spawn system

You poor jew... But can't you look around for a cheap connection at some discounter ISP?
Standard connections in Belgium are 30-40-50-70 euro/month for 10mbit, price goes up if you combine it with Digital TV and/or telephony. Most standard surfers are at a 50 euro connection i'd say.
I could afford it if i wanted, but don't want to just waste money for a service that you can get cheaper. So i looked around and now i am at a discount ISP. 12 euro/month, 10mbit up and down. The only downside, no digital TV, no helpdesk, no support, crappy payment methods. But once you go through that paperwork and you can install the modem yourself, it is actually very cheap.
I even have no cable tv at the moment and no digital tv. I bought a chinese DVBT antenna for 20 euros so i can capture the 4 national tv channels for free and the rest i watch online. Most of the programs, series, reportages are online for free nowadays, and the rest I get from the piratehump

There isn't a quality internet in this country.
The only good internet is on the institute Ruđer Bosković, Institute for physics and my uni because they are a part of GEANT network - they need to have good internet so that they can collaborate with CERN...
And you are bitching about 4 Mbit/s, I have 1 -.-"

Beer / Internet??? You serious?
Since leaving the UK I basically NEVER drink anymore, glass of wine every so often over dinner with the missus or A beer when out with the guys for a social drink but I'd quite happily trade that off to keep super fast internet!
Without a doubt, dood. No Beer... Fast HD Porn.
Man...
