Arena seems to work only via MP, unsure if that's a design decision or just a oversight.

Played some of it. Got to the prison already. Its actually pretty good with its moments. Due to the change of some melee mechanics, Ryder White is mostly good with guns only. And the game encourages that, having so much guns and ammo on the levels.
Only thing sucks is Dead Island, as a shooter, isn't very good.

You have to delete all of those text files except for "DLC1_available.txt" and DLC2_available.txt". |

I played the main game as that black chick (Shaundi?) and after and through the 2nd chapter I used guns a lot and kind of like it. I agree that his game is primarily focused on melee but guns are decently implemented. Can't wait to try DLC. How long is the expansion?

Not very. There are no quests or anything. It's a linear passage from point A to B.
I got to 60 percent in about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Hello the old saves is ok when you put in the new folder for the saves in programdata\reloaded\you user name in the steam_rld.ini\91310 ,put you saves here for work .

Dunno about 2/10...but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the main game (one of the few i bothered to finish) and liked the DLC.
But everyine has an opinion...

well if its true what he is saying about it being singleplayer only, separate from main game, fixed player level and stats ... yeah then it isnt worth more than 2/10

I enjoyed it simply because the ending gives the main games ending a bit more depth. That and I actually enjoyed being able to get to grips with more of Dead Islands weapons.

That final boss was a bit strange,
 Spoiler: | would have been better to just kill him as a standard human NPC as you progressed trough the jail, perhaps even on the same rooftop battle but without the whole "arena" feel of it and scripted larger battles before you reached him.
(At the same time flood the prison with mostly normal undead adding a bit of hectic moment to the sequence and blow the "bomb" as you fly away or maybe just as you try to flow away ala the early what were they called again John Romero zombie movies Dawn of the Dead or such plus a million spin-offs and follow ups, including a few pornos.) |

It is a single player shooter on rails with zombies. But is that bad?

if you buy it for dead island, yes it is.
i expect a Dead Island DLC to be more of the games gameplay.
