  • Genre: RTS
  • Release date: TBA
  • Story/Description:
    Quote:
Men of War: Condemned Heroes is the newest installment in the best-selling Men of War series which fuses tactical thinking with the action-packed direct control mode.

Men of War: Condemned Heroes tells the story of one of the infamous Soviet penal battalions during the WWII. These battalions are famous for being formed under Stalin’s “No step back!” order #227. They consisted of court-martialed officers that were given a chance to redeem their crimes, or incompetence, in blood by serving as the lowest enlisted rank in a battalion that was assigned the most dangerous tasks. These battalions’ images are surrounded by many myths, and this game tells the truth about these regiments based on real evidence from their former members.

Take command of one of these notorious companies and lead it to victory against all odds through most of the war on the Eastern front. Fight from desperate battles in 1942 in the area of Volyn in the Ukraine, to the massive operation “Bagration” in the Brest area, Magnush bridgehead and Warsaw area in Poland and finally to attacks on the German Altdam and Stettin near the end of the war.

  • Multiplayer: YES

How about a new, proper engine? I love the Faces/Men of War games, but man is the engine a piece of trash.

How about chaning the WW2 for a change? I'd love a commando style game in 2000+ era. Driving a T-90 or M1A2 ... maybe even grabing a Javelin or RPG and complete objectives on foot. I liked this in Faces of war since you could solo it.

I like the WW2 setting. It allows for a much broader array of weapons and vehicles than a modern setting would.

I do however wish they will return to the Soldier style again, where you focused more on small teams going up against impossible odds and forcing you to scavenge enemy equipment. The large-scale stuff just doesn't work well with the engine, nor is it as fun.

How about lowering the difficulty? Wow, even on the easiest level, I never could get past the Soviet Train mission in the first MoW

I think these games are more about micro-management than actual tactics. It's just so many knobs to fiddle.

Put two anti-tank guns up behind the wall in the lower left. They'll destroy a lot of stuff. Great mission. They get harder though Sad

+1

I played SHoWW2 with some mods online alot and it was epic fun, but then MoW came and it was never the same. To much unit spam.
