Probably they will. But I'm also sure that we will get an option to permanently turn on or off the detailed tooltips in the game options. My point is: it's a beta, there will be changes, there will be tweaking and tinkering, it's natural process.
You are unhappy about something? Go and post about it on Battle.Net forums. I think it's clear now that Blizzard is actually listening to our feedback and making some changes according to it.
Just save your flaming for retail product. I'll gladly join the anti Blizzard crusade if D3 will suck come the release, but right know let's give them a benefit of a dount and provide some good feedback on the changes they make.
EDIT. LOL, just read this on http://diablo.incgamers.com/. From some Blizz poster:
To follow up on a couple of things that I said I would in this thread:
We’re looking into adding a toggle option for Advanced/Simplified tooltips. We don’t know when or if this feature will make into the beta, but it is an option we want to include.
We like Simplified tooltips being enabled by default, but agree that finding out how to view Advanced tooltips currently isn’t very clear. We don’t think it’s a bad idea to provide instructions through some sort of hint or loading screen tip and are considering adding something to that effect in the future.
Simplified tooltips have been adopted in the Game Guide. For each class, Simplified tooltips will display on in the Active Skills page. Individual skill pages, though (ex: Bash), will display the Advanced tooltip.

I heard they have postponed the release for some months(?)
So, when is the estimated release of the game?

I won't keep repeating myself, it's human instinct, you always want more and more of something
Oh and if you have been looking into my posting (what is kinda pathetic tbh) then you know what you are doing now is futile anyway

Wat, you think it's actually the developers who decide what kind of games they should make? Activision Blizzard exists to make money for their stock holders. They'll make whatever game their marketing division thinks will give them the biggest profit. If that means making Pong 2.0, that's what they'll do. And if they think making Pong play itself will give them even more cash, then they'll do that too.

Ok lemme rephrase it then.
If you can sell something for 5 million euro by making a game for a bigger audience, but you don't and you earn only €10.000 on it "because of morals" then you are just fucking stupid.
Others would steal your base game, do make the things in there that the masses want, they make big money and you get fucked in the ass by no sales at all.
So you would loose out on 4,90 million euro because of your own value, nobody cares about what you did and nobody will remember you.
You would feel shit and wondered why you passed out on that opertunity.

Well, you want what you can't have, grass is greener on the other side, etc. And I think even relief aid workers and non-profit organizations would want limitless funds so they could do more of what they wanted. And cash is an effective means of getting what you want, regardless of what it is.
Still, I think this is getting somewhat more off-topic than usual.

Nope. That's not stupidity, that's taking the moral high-ground and standing up for what you believe in despite the fact that it hits you hard either financially or otherwise. If more developers did this the gaming industry wouldn't be in the shit pit that it is today.

considering that they made "diabo 3" a couple years back, scrapped the whole thing and restarted from scratch, i wonder how some people still can "claim" all blizzard is out for, is "the biggest profit" lol.
Blizzard games dont sell good, because they are "derped down for max profit", but because they are in general GOOD GAMES.
Its the people who keep talking bs who are the derps lol.

So this arguing on the internet is like gaming, isnt it. Spending your time for a bit of fun, which no one will remember after a few hours.

But was there ANYTHING original about SC2 like SC was?? Of course not. A carbon copy of SC with enhanced graphics and some cutscenes.
Blizzard North the original and today's money grubbing Activision-Blizzard are two different things.
But we'll see soon enough. Bashiok posted this week that they're cutting out death animations and a bunch of other promised features so they can release (i'm actually glad for this) for example which were NEVER in the game except as scripted sequences they fired off for a promo video. I mean read it:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/3967589584?page=5#82
And tell me if that's some bullshit Blizzard North would pull in the past.
I especially like the part about how it would take a long time to implement......LOLZ.....they had only what....a DECADE.
If that's not false advertisement, I don't know what is. Anyone can make scripted sequences and then claim they'll be in the game, without ever existing.. |
Blizzard North .. you mean Schaefer and his hellgate london/flagship scheme ? yeah, totally trustworthy, not moneygrabbing at all lol. |
No, I mean people like Bill Roper and Chris Metzen, Ron Millar.
But Schaefers made Diablo, D2 so.........
Forget Hellgate, obviously the team was all split up by that time. |
flagship was created by schaefer and roper, the creators of diablo (condor, which then became blizzard north)
People have issues which arent even issues lol.
Talking like Blizzard is a living person who grew up and became adult or something.
hey reality check, its not a living thing lol.
And another reality check, if the "original" blizzard north would still exist (and had power of its publications and development) we would have like 10 different diablos by now, all crap, but like 1 every year.

That makes no sense, if my definition of 'enough' was enough that I'd be happy with then of course I wouldn't go for more. I suppose when I do a $800 logo for $100 that's an example of me being greedy too then, because I'd rather charge for how long it took me rather than how much other designers like to charge because they know that's what they can get?
I'm sorry greed motivates most of the world, but don't try and pass that shit off on to me. |
Underneath the greed, there is fear. We have debt-based currencies (euro, dollar, etc are FIAT currencies that are not backed by gold/silver/etc). All the money in your bank account represents someone else's debt. With debt comes fear. When we are fearful, we do things we wouldn't normally do. It LOOKS like greed, but it's fear. Since the banks charge interest on the debt, there isn't enough money in the system for everyone to pay off their debts, so people are forced to be more ruthless than the next guy so they don't default on their loans.
And no, we do not live in a capitalist society since there's no capital backing our money. We live in a 'socialist Keynesian economic system.'

It really does look like I'm trolling, but I'm honestly not. I am just gobsmacked by the sheer hilarity of Bashiok's posts (and Blizzard's changes to the game) as it all reads like sick April fools' day pranks. What's not hilarious, what is downright scary, is how much people are defending this nonsense!
