Looks scripted to the point you can't even be scared since you KNOW something is obviously going to happen in a way you won't be able to interfere. CoD-esque gameplay for an Alien game ? No thanks. Didn't expect very much of Gearbox anyway..

So it's a console centered scripted military-disguised-as-sci-fi shooter with a one weapon limit(sure looked like it) developed by gearbox and published by sega...?

the whole point of the aliens and the film was control.
a highly skilled military force with finely honed tactics trying to control the area and aliens bringing a chaotic element to it with the control structure failing to hold it.
when you make it scripted like this, it loses all urgency.. nothing can ever get out of control when everything is scripted beforehand.. everything stays in control.
looking at that gameplay video, it doesn't even look tactically defendable, and then unsurprisingly it gets overrun, but never before the player reaches the scripted checkpoint that triggers the evacuation.
this. is. bullshit.
if i wanted a ride i'd go to disney land
(well, , if it was still going)
give me command of a few troops and let me place the turrets
give me a fully modelled colony and objectives to accomplish how i see fit
heck, you could even have a budget of bullets and soldiers that if you ran out of, game over man.
let me die a horrible death if i make dumb choices.
it's not as cinematic, but i have the fucking movie for that

Bravo! Too MUCH scripting going on, that's the problem with a lot of games these days. I'm not playing a game, I'm watching a game.
It's unfortunate that many people who likes games are really too dumb / lazy to actually _play_. There was a time when those people didn't represent the average gamer.
- Aliens Colonial Marines game
- Additives in the form of weapons (Flamethrower M240, M577 A2 Smart gun, M41A Pulse Rilfe uppgrade)
- An additional game mode (USCM Academy Firing Range)
- USCM original dossier (Lost Episodes Storyboard, Sephora Schematics, Mission Brief, Certificate of Graduation, Satellite Photograph, USCM Farbic Patches)
- Figurine Power Loader (8 inches)
- 22-page comic
Why the fuck is this much stuff exclusive to this edition? I mean cmon... standard weapons are now something exclusive? Thats just stupid. I fucking hate gearbox. They always lie and lie. For what they did with DNF I hate them most. Randy was going crazy how incredible the game is and promoted it to hell with its colelctors edition. Stupid fuck

The smartgun was so damn welcomed in AvP2.
I remember playing and finally, holding that gun, being a bit more relaxed in those otherwise stressfull dark creepy levels.
