In fact they did.

Both of what you asked (the fact they supposedly wanted a PC version, and that they aren't the ones that canceled it) are in their above statement. And that's from 2009.

They clearly stated that once microsoft came with money for exclusive offer, They focused on 360 version and just flushed pc release.

And what about the ~3 year silence after that?
They can keep all of their games from now on on the 360 for all I care.

This is such nonsense. You are moving the goal posts the whole time.
- Fuck them for canceling it.
- But they didn't cancel it.
- Okay, fuck them for agreeing for Microsoft to cancel it back in 2006.
- Dude, the press release said it was coming to PC, they couldn't know what would happen years in the future.
- Okay, fuck them for not breaching their contract when they were told the PC version was scrapped.
- notsureifsrs...
- Okay, fuck them for not insisting they wanted a PC version made.
- How do you know they didn't?
- Well, I've never heard them say anything about it, til like 2 months ago.
- Dude, they said they wanted a PC version made even back in 2009, what are you talking about?
- Okay, fuck them for saying it so long ago.
- ...
At this point I'm going to dump a few select emoticons: and be done with it.

well it was either lose the ip and bankrupt the company or work for microsoft get the project finished and when the contract expires release it yourself on pc.
They've got serious balls releasing the game themselves. Still buying it day one. \o/

If by 'bros' you actually mean we're both imbeciles (with the added bonus of fat in your case) then yes, yes we are.

there's something completely wrong in hating a company because they were put in a corner and were not allowed to do anything.

I don't see why people bash/hate on Remedy. They ALWAYS wanted Alan Wake on PC, but they were in contract and in the clutches of Microsoft and they couldn't do jack shit without breaching the contract. So if you want to hate, hate Microsoft.

it's easier to hate the little guys and not those who introduced couch-less couch gaming and the future of windows with kinect. Or it's easier to hate the little guys who brought us classic games than a company that bought out epic and turned it into a console slut.
What ever... remedy sucks dick cause they didn't risk their company for us pc gamers...

If Remedy were as sensitive as the self proclaimed die hard "no compromises" PC gamers, they would have blacklisted the PC platform 9 years ago, when MP2 PC bombed (compared to MP1).

well you are unfairly hating the little guys while just ignoring what the big guys have done.
it's like hating the victim of rape because she dresses like a slut while ignoring the rapist because he has bought you a few drinks.

Since when hating remedy translates into loving microsoft?!
They were the cocksuckers who ended up pulling a fast one on these remedy guys when the cancelled the PC version, even if the latter ended up accepting it and waiting 2 years until they move their asses.
microsoft clearly don't give a shit about PC gaming AT ALL ("Want to buy GFWL games? Head on to xbox.com" being the latest in a long series of fuck ups).

IMO this shit can be expected from microsoft, they've done it a lot of times and they'll do it again. I just expected better from remedy.
