i found out one thing :

If you looking for people to do for example heroics and some guy wants in who is several levels ABOVE the planets level, its always a save bet NOT to invite.

People who are on a planet way above its level usually SUCK THE BIG ONE.

over and over i had to whitness, how someone 6 levels above the mobs level utterly sucked and got eaten by worms lol. Its pathetic.

So, if someone joins 6 levels above yours, either kick them or leave and save yourself a lot of troubles ^^ (goes for FP's too i guess, alltho there it can be just a guy wanting to complete it for completeness sake ^^).

LOL, explain, reason?
Lowest level usually dies first in my experience, i've the healer or tank is lowest level, the whole groups dies fast. Succesfull groups in general have a high level tank/healer.
Most completionist are 4-6 levels over, just because gaining xp is to fast. Also an occaisional pvp boosts you're level.

From the encounters i had, almost every "higher" level is usually a utter NOOB. Thats why. I am sick of seeing these guys 6 levels above an encounters level and not being able to do shit lol.

The last day I logged in, it was exactly, what Sin said. Both tank and healer were high level - the tank played particularly bad, I was las to go down, even though I had a Sentinel.

A good idea at the time was to basically look at people's clothing, before deciding to play with the group or not. If they have level 31/33 at level 43 - stay away.

I always have the best possible mods in my slots - we craft them with our friends.

Perhaps it made an impression cause you were surprised that the high level groupmates sucked, i've he was low level you'd think "oh low level, that explains".
Most important succes factor for a group is that you dont have an idot that rushes before people aply cc, breaks CC or a terrible healer/tank, that breaks a group. I cant think of a reason why those people are more likely to have a higher level or are less bothered with crafting.

you rarely have "low levels" on planets. But "level appropriate".

you hardly see a level 25 on a level 30 planet ^^.

i always have been at least with 4 levels above the planet level requirement. because i completed all quests + bonuses at least until level 35+. when i got bored by "hey, loot a chest" and "ah, dont forget to search and kill 2000000000 mobs until you get to that chest."

I doubt fps will be ever fixed, there hasnt been a single performance fix in a month, only 2 minor ones for specific planets. The engine is broken beyond repair.
PvE works fine for me (60 fps), warzone drops to 15, but is unplayable cause abilities dont fire, delay etc. Sometimes my character dies instantly, the attacks arn't even shown cause of the lag.

FPS problems in warzones? Didn't had them. The time when i played i didn't had a single drop under 60.

It is not in the patch notes but I see an improvement in slicing gains from crew missions.
Excellent news.

You shouldn't see problems with newer rigs of course, mine is 3 1/2 years old.
Still, i dont see why swtor needs a high end rig, graphics are 5 years dated at least, also, i dont have issues with any other games at all. Main problem seems to be the almost single threaded engine so i think my cpu is bottle neck (int quad q9450)
It just feels wrong to be able to play bf3 med-high setting, and warzone at swtor being unplayable.
It is possible that my fps issue is related to specific hardware that has issues with swtor though.
I must say though, after patch, the game feels smoother although fps is unchanged (30-100 pve in my case)

is not making a fool from himself.
i had the same issue, i resolved by basically manually set the view distance in half in ini. (an option that was in the beta, mysteriously disapear in retail if i remeber right) witch screwed the whole game (gfx quality speaking), not only warzones, and in the end, i just quit playing in warzones.
and my system is q6600, 460 gtx, 8 gb ram. please tell me that my system is very old and have issue rendering their crap game in warzones. in any other area/flashpoints/operations i had 60+ fps, warzone instant drop to 20-30. and i dint even move from starting point.
i posted somewhere in the beginning this.

and talking about retarded stuff (witch will be the trademark of bioware), where the hell was the option to disable that damn autorotate camera ? another missing feauture that ruined pvp for me.
reading patch notes, and see how few of the problems were solved, i still cannot belive how shit and clueless bioware is.

The Q6600 IS very old (5 years old), especially knowing that most MMORPG's are more CPU demanding then GPU, so in your case your processor is most likely the bottleneck causing these issues. Smile

By saying that warzones are unplayable with older rig's and that swtor engine is not optimized? explain.

yeh right.
my q6600 (i keep it at 3.2) is close to i5. if i put it to 3.4 is on par or slighty better vs a stock i5.
so swtor require an overclocked i5 to run ?
the only upgrade i can make is to an i7. and the price simply not worth it. eventually only if the i7 could work on 775 Smile.

swtor have issues.
and they will probably be solved. problem is when.

i would prioritize, no particular order :
abilitys delay.
all thing on ui can be moved/hided/resized. (if they keep no addon policy)
simple macro support, not rift style. (/cast [target=focus] heal , /cast [target=mouseover] heal or cc) and so.
fetching more people in an instance to feel like you are playing a mmo.
remake crafting from ground.
remake ah
a way for people to find people who want to do instances. /1 works on the same planet. dont work when someone is on another planet/fleet/whatever.
dual spec.

I use a i7 Mobile (2720QM) and the game runs fine @ 2.20GHZ.

Sorry, but your Q6600, even at 3.2ghz comes nowhere near to any of the lower end I5's. Let alone a 2500k. Nor does it come anywhere near to a i3 2100.

Even if you somehow managed to overclock that Q6600 to 5GHZ it would still be slower then a stock 2500k. The fact that you seem to beleive that your Q6600 is anywhere near in the same realm of performance as a 2500k is laughable.

Oh but ofc, Core 2 Quad =/= Sandybridge
And 3.4 GHz on your Q6600 =/= i5 @ 3.4 GHz Laughing

I shall leave it here, seems you have 0 knowledge about this.

Q9650 vs 2500k

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1592732&highlight=2500k+bc2

Mind you, thats a Q9650 at 4Ghz (Decently faster then a Q6600) and even it is getting raped by the 2500k.
