I have a Geforce 6600GT 128 mb, AMD 64 3200+, 1024 MB-Ram but the game runs at 25 fps standard at a resolution of 1024x768 and the same at 1280x1024. And the fps stays the same all the time ingame. With the last demo (after the patch) I didn't have that problem. I got between the 30 and 40 fps at 1280x1024. What I think is that they put a frame limiter in the game, but I can't find it anywhere.
Can someone help me with this please?

How do you guys use your steering wheel?....I have the Driving Force Pro by Logitech with all the latest drivers and the actual game detects it in the controller pop up configuration window and I am able to set all the buttons, pedals and wheel to the right mappings but when the actual race starts...it doesnt want to work

btw, I love this game and find it so addicting and fun,.....its a shame how underrated this game is and the bad reviews its getting. the betting option alone makes this game devilishly addicting...I love it. This is what games are all about....addicting fun!!

I have Forza, GT 4 and Live for Speed for the realistic driving stuff.....but this is just plain fun and kicks Need for Speed Underground 2's asss!

I have the same and at first everything worked but the pedals.
This is in the readme.

"""Input:

If you experience problems please check that you have the latest drivers for your device.

Some systems have been seen to experience problems selecting the controller options, if your system fails to show a DirectInput controller configuration box when you select this option please run the dInputFix.bat found in your installation directory.

Some issues have been noted with pedal set-up when using steering wheel devices, such as the Logitech Momo Wheel, please check your 'Pedals reported as Combined' option is ticked for these devices. This option will be found in your control panel.

Steering wheel option found in game options should be switched to yes for use with a steering wheel only."""

This game has the best GFX I have ever seen with all the details on (racegame).
It plays smooth, and alle the sound files are there.. I don't know why some people get strange sound.. it must be your comp/sounddevice.

Its a lot better than NFSU, I like the day when I race, its not always night.
Great game that works 100% fine here.

Thank you Hoodlum

djeazy....let me understand this correctly,

you have the same steering wheel as me, the Logitech Driving Force Pro? and it completely works for you in the game?

I'm wondering if you guys who have your steering wheels working, do you ALSO have your gamepads plugged in both working in the game fine?....for example, the steering wheel works in the races but the gamepad works in the menus to select choices and menus and stuff?

I have both a gamepad and the driving force pro plugged into my usb ports....I dont want to have to unplug the gamepad each time I want the steering wheel to work in the game. the steering wheel works great in all my other PC games fine ( live for speed, Gtr racing, NFSU 2 )

Is this game retarded like NFSU, where you're required to put idiotic amounts of "go fast" stickers and riced-out fiberglass garbage on your car in order to make progress?

Nope..
Style it as YOU want..

BUT, the "nicer" styling you got, the more respect you get..

In some ways yes, as you need to make your car look nice to gain respect. This, like NFSU is NOT just a racing game. Deal with it. It is about the "underground racing scene" and thus follows it. If your car looks like shit then no one likes you, thats why these features exist!

well, often you don't think the same ways as The Game, and so it can be frustrating when you like something but The Game says that the expensive part is cooler even though it might not fit on your car

Other things that irritates me, is the menu and pictures in loading screens... they are REAL ugly, how can they sell something like that?

I must say that I am very impressed with the attention to detail with areas of this game that most people will not even notice. There are a lot of things that were well thought out when this game was designed such as the different reactions and respect gains and decreases that certain drivers will give you based on the way you treat them in the races, or the way you flaunt some wild betting habits, or the way you 'style' during races. I think there is alot going on under the hood in regards to cause and effects with the different personality types and such.

I think its pretty cool that there is more going on in the game that doesnt just involve racing. Also the different parts of the city that gangs own and race in was another cool touch as well as the fact that you can hold your races and bet on other races without actually participating in them almost like OTB horse racing.....Alot of cool concepts and things going on in this game that most people reviewers may not appreciate.

The cars handle a bit on the sticky and firm side but it can be exciting because the upgrades you add really do make the cars handle differently....perhaps not realistically but the upgrades do make the differences.

If I really had to fault this game in one area that really annoys me is the fact that it feels too much like a ported console game. It would have been nice if the dev team added a bit more PC interactivity in the menus and interface....navigating could have been streamlined with better mouse support

However, the game is simply addicting and fun to play...it has that one more race feel to it that is hard to put down...especially when some punk cleans out your wallet with a surprising victory

Everything is installed as it suppose to be, my wheel work great in ALL racing games, even the crappy value ones...work in all games exept Juiced and Street Racing Syndicate so obviously shitty console port doesnt work well with PC wheels, not to mention that Juiced actually exit the game for the remapping screen....so watch your fuckin mouth next time

same here, but you get to test drive enough in races Smile

pinks slips are great, just lost all 3 of my cars Very Happy even alt+f4 doesn't works, so they're gone for good. btw, you get 30k of money when that happens, so it's not totally over. still driving with keyb, so can't comment about wheel, but i really like the handling, 4wd, fwd, rwd are all different. and show me a game where you can do controlled 360:s, 180s and burnouts on keyboard, no so many around.

online works sweet, missing chat thou, don't have mic. honk if you see me at races, 6th on world rankings, well yeasterday, have to winn some more if i'm not still Razz

Decent game I guess. I liked it a lot better than NFSU 1/2, just because they don't force you to put stupid plastic on your cars.

Gripes:

No traffic other than racing opponents. Why? The cynic in me assumes that it's some sort of politically correct bullshit that some marketing tool came up with. Which is misguided--GTA doesn't make people run out and start hauling people out of their cars, a street racing game isn't going to make people who aren't already stupid enough to race off the track start now.

Mods just as lame as NFSU. 7 trillion combinations, my ass. The only parts where every option isn't exactly the same are brakes and shocks. All the engine parts are clones of each other, with just a different brand name and maybe one of them is cheaper than the rest. Wow!

Anyone calling this a sim doesn't know enough about cars to be qualified to check their oil. I saw the dyno option and thought there was really going to be some depth here, but there is none. Realism must have went out the window early in the design, because every car will have basically the same exact parts on it, regardless of whether you want to drag, race circuits, or drift--complete with the same exact settings on the only two real options there are: lower it fully and set the speed/acceleration slider to max speed. Wheels don't seem to have any effect at all, and adding 1000lb of plastic onto your body doesn't slow you down (must be a Type R sticker on the back to counteract that), and generic spoilers magically enhance the aerodynamics of any car you decide to put them on. Hell, when you're trying desperately to get your car down to a lower rank, you can slap the biggest turbo on it with a stock intake and exhaust, and your engine still runs perfectly.

Another thing that's annoying about the workshop is that replacing a part costs full price, and you can't keep spare parts around, so you waste a ton of money.

The racing is actually pretty well done, for the first 3-4 ranks anyway. Beyond that point the controls get way too twitchy, and the idea that someone would rev a 600HP car to redline and then dump the clutch in order to start a race is just retarded. I got up to rank 3 cars, noticed that you can only race for pink slips with your highest rank car, and promptly sold off everything I had above rank 6. Unlocking all the parts for the lower end cars and trying to get the prototype stuff is a lot more fun anyway. You miss out on things like the Viper, Skyline, and Evo VIII doing that though.

Anyway, enough ranting. I'm a bit of a purist about this stuff, since I used to drive/mod an Eclipse GSX... back before import tuning became associated with all this hip hop garbage and people who think plastic and stickers are what makes a car. Why can't they make a street racing game that favor realism like some of the Rally sims?

PS-- If you have a problem with money just start a sprint race at your track. Rank 1--you'll get two racers, so bet on the 992HP Viper. It will rip the doors off that silly Corvette or the 900HP Viper every single time. If you get two 992HP Vipers, just don't bet that day. Instant cash. And if you want to cheat the lack of a save game system, the folder to backup is: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\THQ\Juiced. You don't have to exit out completely, just go back the the "Press Enter" screen and alt-tab out.
