Oh fuck, i'm getting confused with these sides in SWTOR...
You can pick good and still go evil or good and go good or bad and go bad or bad and go good or what...
Shit this is confusing.

It's not really confusing. Think of the Sith and Jedi as Republicans and Democrats. You have good and bad people in both camps even though they picked different parties. Being a "light" Sith is like being a moderate republican and not being against abortion while being a "light" Jedi would be like being a left wing democrat.

Republic = A somewhat democratic regime
Empire = Totalitarianism or something like that
And there is a Dark/Light side points system. So theoreticly, you could be a good Sith or a bad Jedi. SWToR surely isn't that Black&White and got it's shades of grey. Oh, and you get those points just the same way like you did in the MassEffect games through conversations.

I bet my last response wasn't trollfail, now was it, Sin, otherwise you would have responded, eh?
Did some analysis of level 50 crafting, if my initial numbers are right, it's even less worth it than leveling crafting - others on the forum seem to think so, too.

I've seen a lot of discussion about this and most people try to make it seem as if the sides are "equal" in terms of goodness. They aren't and weren't meant to be. The Imperials are fascist by their very nature, which is why they are known to be anti-alien and pro-human, as well. They're the Nazis of the galaxy. There were "good" Nazis and obviously not the entire German population were Hitlers. Some people just loved their country, and some actually believed in the cause; that is the difference. The Sith are the "master race" and it's made pretty obvious that you accept that or die. The Republic, on the other hand, is simply an incompetent and corrupt government of democracy - reflected most by the UN, imho.

The Empire and Republic are quite alike. The only difference is that the Republic tries to hide it.
Neither side is good, Republic just likes to believe it is.

Your initial reply about crafting was desiring of a response but I didn't really want to get into it. Quite frankly I've found the crafting system to be quite frustrating, but I've definitely made a profit with it. I think a lot of it has to do with the server and the individual's approach. Just like some people play Skyrim and max enchanting and smithing to take advantage of it to kill the dragon at low levels with awesome gear, people on a hardcore PVP server expect to min/max the crafting system, not realizing that it's not the way it's intended to be used. If you want to do that, take up biochem or slicing.
On my mediocre PVE server, I was always a few levels above my areas, so I had plenty of materials to RE and make blues/purples just from doing targeted Underworld Training runs (I'm an armormech). I then sold the results at relatively low prices through multiple tiers of levels - and I still make a killing. I've also been able to fill the gaps in my and my companions gear at-level as I go. So for me, crafting is working entirely as intended. I was able to get my speeders immediately at level with money left over, make top notch gear for myself, and make other people happy with cheap items while still making a profit.

Like Sin said, I love crafting in this game. Although it does have one thing that's a bit annoying.
I lvl up to fast, and by the time I've gathered enough parts for the current lvl of items I can craft, not to mention blue,or purple items; I can already craft a higher lvl item. Making the parts I gathered up until then obsolete.
I'm guessing crafting really becomes useful once you reach lvl 50, but so far it's been more of a cash source than anything else.

been playing a bounty hunter for a few days now, really liking her so far and who wouldnt be watching that lvl 4 ass running around...
One thing thats odd and I dont know why bio decided to do it this way is the light vs dark side points for non force characters and specifically how they change the facial look of your character.
Its the abuse of the force that twists its user, making their eyes redish and their face gray with veins sticking out.
But to a non force user this shouldnt apply, now I know you can turn this feature off if you want but Id find it much more logical if non force users woudnt have to choose between light and dark but something else, good vs evil etc etc
Just a strange design choice...
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

It's a design choice I saw coming. Without it, people would be complaining that only the force classes get any appearance change.
You're right though, it doesn't make any sense lore wise.
