First of all my comp:
WinXP Pro SP 2
Celeron 1.7GHz
512 RAM
DirectX 9.0c
Im sure that all my drivers are up to date but it still wont start. When I click on the executable it launches a black screen like its starting and then kick me out back to the desktop. Any solutions?
EDIT: Im using the HOODLUM release.

same problem her, if you're referring to starting the install executable.. i can't even get the bloody thing installed. it tries to launch a command screen, but it closes down and nothing more happens. this happens both with autorun and with manually opening setup or install.exe.

the file size is what it's supposed to be, that's why i think it's strange. but as you say, it probably is a bad download.

From my understanding UNRAR will check the CRC so if you did not get an error then it is not a bad download. If you are really unsure then look for a .par file to check your .rar files.

Same problem here the Nvidia logo fades almost out and it stops if i press enter im back to desktop, ive tried all the cracks tried disabling sound on dxdiag tried with the dvd in the dvd rom , reinstalled 3 times, tried different resolutions and i dont have blinds installed.
Same thing always happens so someone PLEASE:) help me out here.

P4 2,8 Ghz
1.5 Gb Ram
Soundblaster Audigy 2zs Platinum Pro soundcard
XFX GEForce 6600Gt AGP graphics card
MSI NEO 2 mainboard

got a problem here to :/
When i try to install it on my desktop, it fails to launch the installshield wizard.
The strange thing is, that the dvd DOES work on my laptop (which is worse than my pc).
I tried downloaded the newest Windows Install (3.1 v2) but that doesn't work either ...
So if anyone knows what i could do, please do tell me !
