Having to walk on thin beams in a pitchblack area where you can't even see a full sword-length in front of you while getting shot at by enemies that knock you down is pretty cheap in my book. Also, enemies not having to follow the same rules as you in combat is just lame.

I did enjoy the game though (apart from the PvP side being completely ruined due to exploits).

Weapon/geometry collision, mostly. It's very frustrating being hit through walls.

Ah, damn.. I'd actually forgotten about that and I agree completely, being struck through a wall was aggravating Sad it's hardly rule breaking though, as the underlying AI still follows the same conventions you have to... It's just a glitch.

you need to learn how to play the game..

there was a helmet that had a "light" effect (sun or smt helmet) So you could c everything fine. And further more there was a lantern that you could used. And you could hear the enemy's if you moved slowly. There was clearly a "sound" when someone used a bow. The arrows where slow as shit ..

It was hard area but nothing extraordinary. The game wants to you think and adapt. Use different strategy when one doesn't work. Im in my 2nd play thro (started new game, not new game +) and everything seems piss easy now when you are familiar with the environment and know what are the enemy's weaknesses.

that was little lame that enemy's with bug swords dint hit the walls like you did... but i dint c any problem in that... i just used another über over powered weapon and killed those bastards with 2-3 hits.

And the AI is better than in most games. The enemy has stamina (no endless attack crap like most popular games) and there where no situation where one enemy waited for the other one to attack so he could attack you.

btw - you could run away from ai... you just had to be fast .... at first game i did it all the time Rolling Eyes

btw pvp backstabbing exploit sucked... demon souls didn't have that problem Mad

I'm sure the upcoming PC version will fix all the bugs and glitches. Cool Face

I don't care tbh. I'm dying for a challenging PC RPG with a deep character system and complex mechanics and from what I hear of DS this is the closest we will get anytime soon.

I could get that helmet, sure. The lantern? Not really, considering you don't even get the lantern until the middle of the area you actually need it in, unless you're lucky with drops.

I don't see where you get the idea that I "need to learn how to play" from. Did I say that I failed?

AI better than most games? All they do is walk in front of you and attack here and there. Sure, nothing wrong with that, but far, far from "better than most games".

I hope we do get to see a PC version. I'd like to try some of the MP stuff without having to worry about douchebags who've exploited since day one.

I recall reading that before the game was released but have never experienced it unless I'm pissing about and let the enemies stay fairly close, even those flies in the swamp give up chasing if I get far enough away

I need to get around to finishing the game but Ornstein and Smough really put me on a downer with it, cheap bastards, then came the crystal caves or whatever they're called, I couldn't find a way down, fell to my death and haven't played the game since

dont know about you but i got that stupid burning head lantern thingy right from the start of the level.. And like always I dint have any humanity so no frequent drops where available usually. The game always gave you means to fight the world. But when you made bad decisions and levelled up incorrectly (tried to be universal) then the game seemed to be "unfair" sometimes.

AI is better than some crap games where the AI just spams with attacks without any sign of stamina or "the same rules apply to AI that apply to player". Every AI had its own combos and attack system. And it just waited for you to fuck things up and panic so It could kill you fast. Sometimes the AI was just blocking and waiting... as soon as I tried to attack it counter attacked and... dead i was.

But yes... it would be fun to get a dissent rpg for a change on a PC. Witcher 2 was imo the only real action rpg on pc this year. Not that over hyped fetch quest where level up is pointless and enemy's just lock on to you and start attacking without stamina.

and dark souls, demon souls has the best fight system. Its fair and works. Its not just wiggling around with your pointless sword and hoping for the best. Its more strategic.

I believe his intent was to communicate that, in his opinion, 50 thousand petitioners is a relatively small number considering the rampant piracy on the PC platform that will no doubt negatively affect the game's sales should it ever be ported. He concluded his post with a laughing smiley face, indicating ironic bemusement at his own words and/or the matter at hand as a whole.

Translation of me:

I would like to say, that proboably those 50thousand people who, declared in the petition are not enough for the developer. Even if those people bought the game.... it's not enough.

Actually - Read pillermann post.

Also, I am nominating pillermann for official clarifier of my posts Laughing
