The photo was taken January 6th @ ~19:13. There's a clock at the bottom that shows 25 days 3 hours. Perhaps their math is off a little or they just didn't set the time right. But that puts it pretty close to 02.01.2012 and that's the date on best buy's website.

My local gaming store has the release date for the preorder set for the 27th of March. It's obviously still a guess but it is probably a lot safer to surprise customers by getting them the game earlier than expected than making them wait for months longer than advertised.
all those stores release dates are just bullshit and serves only for one purpose - cheap advertising for those shops. release date will be announced by blizzard, not by some dumb shop with advertisement with typo on it lol.

it is not real, it is just best buy guessing at the release date, using promotional material they probably received from Blizzard and on which they added their own text. The clock can be adjusted when they are wrong at guessing the release date...so what do you think what will happen if the release date turns out to be in march or april...etc
Maybe it really was a given date by Blizzard but then korea happened and now it's false. We will never know. Just look at how long it took Blizzard to admit that korea affected the release.
The sign was fucking real people. Jesus. You can cry "pixels" or "conveniently placed flash" all you want but there's no conspiracy. It was made by a best buy store in-house and didn't come from blizzard and has no link to an actual release date since one hasn't been announced by Blizzard.

Where exactly? I may have missed something recent, but they were still clearly stating Korea had nothing to do with it 4 days ago.

But then the game still won't be out, so still no one is happy. I suppose those are just the ups and downs you have to expect when following something so closely."
Back in December they even hinted that if the game was completed and Korea still refused to play ball, they may simply end up delaying the game in Korea. Make sense, more to gain by doing it this way. Nothing to gain by delaying it.

They confirmed yesterday that the korean newspaper article is right. And the article was about just that.
