the thing was this game was designed for a system that had 512ram NOT a Ps3 that has 256ram for logic processes and 256ram on the gpu for textures... simply put R* new Rage Engine was not designed with ps3 ram architecture in mind [it uses only the 256ram and tries to stuff things on it , forgetting that the gpu has a extra 256] , if it was the the ps3 version would be superior [bigger field of view] or similar to the xbox360

One could argue that Dark Souls is better due to it's open world level design. They're both pretty sweet (way above the generic brown bile that developers churn out these days).

They're both using the same traditional japanese art of unforseeable cheap deaths which you have to adapt to, to overcome them.Almost every hazard always follows a certein pattern which you have to learn. But I'm not talking SuperMario patterns.

So, if you like games that are basicly trial&error, play both. They're actually not hard in the common sense, like many people always like to make you believe (dunno why).
For example, it's one of those games you'll fly through without a hassle once you know all the hazards and enemies's patterns (in a 2nd playthrough for example).

Demons Souls is epic gaming masterpiece. Its dark, deep, depressive, hard, it has everything. Imo Dark Souls loses a bit of everything, while still good and nothing else really come close to it, it doesnt have the same impact the first game did.

I played through it on the burrowed PS3 of one of my buddies (Just like I did with DemS). And I didn't sign. Mostly because I know what the game really is under it's shell (like I elaborated above).

Would be a massive disappointment for alot of people anyway because the fanboys are praising it as deep and challenging. Doesn't mean it can't be fun for some people though.
But as soon as you find out how the game functions, you could easily be pissed off.

I remember spitting curses against the devs all the time (Both games). Stuff like "You friggin cheap ass motherfucker tried to fuck me over there, didn't you? Not with me you asshole." was propably the most common (while nearly falling of a cliff or almost stumbling into a trap) Laughing

Playing both titles felt more like I was playing against the devs than the game itself Laughing

So, no, personally I don't really need it on PC. And I don't feel like anyone would really miss out on something "outstanding" if it doesn't happen.

Yep. Console kiddies need to go play XCOM on the hardest difficulty if they want an actual challenge.

Still, would be nice to see the game on PC either way. It doesn't play well at all on console.

Well the game doesnt give You as much control as it should, conidering its going for realistic hit damage, Player should be able to control character as he wants. Well I have no issues avoiding enemy attacks, my choices are quite fine; either rolling aside or parrying incoming attacks. If you wear heavier armour, you should expect to move slower and your dodges to be harder to pull off. Any falls are quite simply due to user error and the AI can jus t as easily be tricked into falling off the same hazards that you do.

No, there is nothing cheap about Souls. It's mercilessly unforgiving on mistakes and errors, but not cheap.
