Not on the procrastination part though, as i think that "laziness" is something that has been demonized by our religious culture (making it one of the mortal sins, if i remember correctly) and our work "ethic", while procrastinating can have a lot of benefits for the individual (stress reduction, etc) and our culture (art, poetry, improved creativity (even in fields of technology / industry / science)) |
It is majorly on those latter fields that I see the most powerful importance and relevance of the ability to be persistence, some of the major advancements in physics, electronics, medicine of our history have been primarily the result of the inextinguishable persistence of great men.
To be persistent and to be relaxed aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

It's up to you, I just think that I've proven, as best as I was allowed to, that the reasons for which I was banned were due to a very bad epoch of my life which is now fully resolved, and I believe I could again be the benign participatory presence on this forum that I once was.
You once told me that my ban wasn't personal and it seems to me that at this point, after more than 8 months, it is, considering that only a minority of users and mods are against my return.
Also it was my perspective that you believed in the redeeming quality of a person.

Perm bans are named that way for a reason. The few people who have been allowed to return to the forum did so primarily by proving that they could stop disrupting the forum, usually by coming back as a new user and regaining a place within the community with anonymity. Your inability to remain anonymous seals any chance you have of returning and feels very reminiscent of the overblown ego you showed during the "bad period" that led to the perm ban.
Anyway, I would have liked to give you a bit more time on the forum but due to the fact that we came back down this road now is the right time to re-engage the perm ban. I hope you have a great year and if you do intend on re-registering, you take notice of some of the points I've made in this post and your ban message.

I can't say I'm sorry that happened.
On the other hand, if you truly are reformed Ronhrin, getting back here should be no problem at all.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
