Anyone experiencing slow downloads from Steam ?
I just bought The Chronicles of Riddick : Assault on Dark Athena and it is downloading it with 90 kb/s while my internet is perfectly running.
It's a pity that I'll get to play this in 1-2 days.

I have tried changing the server multiple times, without succeeding in improving my download speed.

It goes up to 110 kb/s and then stops downloading for 3-5 minutes.

I still have to download most of the new games in my library for that reason. It's always like this when there are these massive sales, but Gabe doesn't give a damn

Ive never had any problem swith steam speads and always had 2-2,7mb/s speeds.
Now its 150kb. Guess there is way to many users downloading free to play games to get achievements like me

Okay so I just wasted 5 euros on that shit when I could have downloaded it from torrents with 8-9 mb/s .

Yeah, I also had no problems, max bandwidth for me on any server I tried.
Also: for some reason got full copy of Hard Reset for free, pretty sure no one gifted it to me.

You can buy it and use a crack. I use cracks with my retail-bought games all the time so that I don't have to have the DVD in the drive. I imagine most of us are doing this...?
If I was disatisfied with the DRM one of my digitally-bought games had, I would use a crack for it as well. It's the same thing, really.

tages take like 2mb to install and You can just crack riddick then and never use it anymore.
There are far worse drm than this.

The whole Steam-shit was almost unreachable yesterday (actually the past few days) having to constantly f5 my inventory etc.
I guess the amount of freebie-hunters is insane.
