I'll still count your vote if you want, but there's no point IMO.

Just do as you please. It matters little as, for me, it will still be the greatest action-RPG platformer of 2011. Smile

If you want to publish exclusively 5 games in the top, it prolly won't be relevant. But if you want to add also "contenders" and the rest of the games below place 5. to the list, it should be counted then.

Shouldn't there also be a general GOTY thread? Or are you going to create one when the genre winners have been decided, Neon?

1. Deus Ex: Human Revolution ... by far.
2. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
3. Skyrim

Really tough choice between the 2 and 3. I didn't expect to enjoy Skyrim as much as I did to be honest, and it's quite a different experience from TW2, so it's hard to compare the two.
I haven't finished Skyrim yet, so I guess it's one of the reasons I ranked it lower in the end.

No, but since it's fairly obvious that most of the people here will vote for Skyrim/Witcher/Deus Ex, I wanted to give the indie titles a fair chance, instead of stuffing them with AAA titles.

Huh? Yet you choose to give them none, mate. Nice! Laughing

Also it's pretty... let's not say stupid, but not ok, to ask people for their preferences and afterwards dictating them what to choose.

Dude, it's like picking Dead Island for "best racing game" because you can drive a car.

Or picking Skyrim as best FPS, because you play(mostly) in first person.

By those standards Skyrim and DeusEx could also hardly be counted as RPG games. Skyrim is open world bananza with stats in the background and DeusEx is FPS/RPG hybrid. I say we include Terraria and Bastion. They have just as many RPG elements as other games. Bastion is also a questionable indie game in the first place because it published by Warner Bros.
