I never played WoW but I did play LoTRO and AoC. I have played TOR now for about 15 hours. IMO if you are dying to play SW:TOR but can't afford it or something, just play LoTRO (its free). It's very similar except for the 'Star Wars' theme of course. I'm sure there are lots of subtle differences between the two games but....

Awesome job Bioware... 6 hour maintenance in the middle of the day in a time when people are on holidays. And yes I'm raging since I bought the game "yesterday" and obviously want to play it -.-

Lvl 33 isn't late. Tatooine and Alderaan are early as hell, especially now when lots are already 50.
The worlds are dead because :
a) instancing and splitting people in shards
b) there's barely anything in the actual worlds, there's like a hub with a few mobs then to get to the next area you run around on your speeder for 2-3 mins seeing nothing but landscapes
World is dead. Duh.

He meant the general feel of the game, most of it feels sp.
Fun thing is i've you happen to see fellow players there is a shortage of objectives (the destroy X instalation missions).
Having fun though, my major complain is the horrid performance, i have to turn down al setting to low to be able to play hutball. My pc is a bit aging, though i can play bfr 3 on high settings, while SWTOR gives 5 year old graphics.
Bioware said that the high res textures missing was a bug, i doubt it. I think they know performance is bad and disabling options at launch is a way to mask that, same goes AA not being available.

Servers are full, there are queues but you don't meet people, except on the imperial fleet.
Everything else is hit and miss, you can go around for 2hours without seeing anyone in the medium area levels when the planets open up (they're still linear but the box is bigger). At first it's fine since the areas are so small, but then you get to huge planets (that are empty of mobs as well) and then it's like... OMG I SAW SOMEONE TAKE A PIC FAST!!!

That's okay since I knew that already before I bought it. I wouldn't have if couldn't cope with that (it's just like Age of Conan was and I played that until they went f2p).
